Untitled Document This vintage steel barrister bookcase is a single self-contained unit designed to stack in multiples. This barrister/ lawyer's case has a thick glass window that lifts and slides into the case. And and overall rugged and sturdy design that was built to last many decades of office abuse. It has a classic putty gray exterior finish and an olive drab green interior. I can't find a maker's stamp anywhere, only an old Georgia Power tag inside and a sticker designating it for the Engineering& Architecture dept. The glass door still slides and operates smoothly, and there are no dents or serious cosmetic damage. There is some rust on the underside of the cabinet, which can be seen in the last photo above. Vintage Steel Metal Stacking Barrister Book Case 2 Section & Base Mid-Century
Must pick up here. That means no shipping. Too much time.Trouble and money to pack them up properly. You get 2 sections with glass covered doors that swing up and then slide back into the case out of the way and the base they set on. Glass is good, doors work nicely. The one is missing a nob but a trip to the hardware store/home center and you can find something close to it. The top one is missing a locking tab that inserts into it. It does have one. These are removable and one you get weight in them just about unnecessary as they set down inside each other with the lip you see on top. Each section you see is 33" wide by 13" deep by 14 3/4" tall on the front and sides but 15" to the top of the lid. Assembled with the base and 2 sections it is 37 3/4" tall. Paint is not original. The interior white paint is still pretty ... morenice, outside green shows wear/loss. If you would like to pick up my zipcode is 17363.
