11th Aero Squadron HQ Office Cabinet Kelly Field San Antonio Air Base 1917 - 22
This is a very unique piece of our military history. The bottom is stamped with 3 lines. Unfortunately the first line is only partially, the word operations is there I believe. The next line reads, 11th Base HQ& Air Base Sq. BP and the third line reading, Kelly Field San Antonio Texas. This I assume is a piece of office furniture. It is broken into cubby holes by thin slats of board, probably a filing or mail system for the different commanding officers. The piece is in wonderful condition for being almost 100 years old. The home I got this from not only had veteran of both World wars but he also worked for the RR which may be how this piece came half way across the country and landed in Salamanca NY which was originally a RR community. 1890's KILLER TIGER OAK Vintage Stacking Old Filing Cabinet Antique Office File
Dating to the 1890's. This is a killer tiger oak early office filing cabinet made by Library Bureau Solemakers. It measures 33" wide by 17" deep by 26" high. I have priced this stunning and rare sliding glass door stacking section at a very low price for a very quick sale. This will make an awesome addition to any set of stacking sectional oak files! Please note that I don't have a great digital camera. The pictures aren't so great but the actual file is 1000 times nicer in person. Its a real beauty! Keep in mind that this stacking oak sectional file is compatible with many other early office file makers such as Yawman& Erbe. Globe Wernicke. Just check the measurements. They didn't make many of them in the 1890's and obviously as they are made of glass. not many of the ones they did make have survived 110+ years. The overall condition is great though it is approx 110 years old. It isn't new or perfect. No big problems, very minor and overall it is in great condition. The cabinet has very deep rich tiger graining and a beautiful golden oak tone. There is some small pieces of veneer missing along the bottom on the left side as well as some small pieces of veneer missing on the interior right side near the sliding door. Nothing major and not a big deal. The interior has numerous original holes on each side so that shelves can be installed, the doors slide perfectly and I believe that the glass is original. The door even retains its original brass knob. As the doors are glass. My preference would be a buyer who can pick up the cabinet though I am willing to ship it. If you have an antique oak sectional filing cabinet and you have been wanting to add a glass doored section you already know how rare these sections are! Well, here it is.

Antique mail sorter - printer's cabinet - original hardware - Post Office
This is a Post Office mail sorter is approximately 7' tall. 19-1/2 inches wide and 16-1/2 inches deep. It is made of dark oak and is very heavy. All hardware is original and intact. There is a plate on the top front of the cabinet that reads"U.S. PO Dept. 1163" This may have been a mail sorter but could very well have been used in a post office walk in safe or vault at the post office. The petina of the wood is original. There is a piece wood veneer of the front leg missing which you can see in the 5th photo above. It does not affect the unit's ability to stand upright. It is very steady and solid. Due to moisture from being stored all these years. There is a bit of bubbling in the wood beginning near the bottom of the back of the piece. Not much and does not cover a big area. There are 28 small drawers and 6 big drawers ... morewith all original hardware and they all work perfectly. Very nice. 1950s, Mid Century desk. The desk is three pieces and includes the large desk top/work area, chrome side leg and 3 drawer file cabinet. The unit is laminate covered with chrome trim and side leg. The laminate has a granite look and is brown with flecks of tan/gold. The desk is not laminate covered on the file cabinet exterior side and is designed to fit against a wall. This is a very nice, Retro Modern" desk. It is in very good condition with some minor cosmetic aging. The chrome has some age spots. The laminate top has a few minor scratches and a couple of small discolored areas. There is a small piece of missing laminate inside the file cabinet section(see picture 10) It has been painted with a textured paint and is fairly invisible. Antique Restored Tiger Oak Store Office Letter File Cabinet Storage Box
Antique file cabinet from the long closed Statesboro. Georgia Sanitarium/ Norris Hotel building. The cabinet has four drawers with letter file inserts. The cabinet is solid quarter sawn oak and the file inserts are a heavy cardboard, the back has a veneer panel. The file inserts are removable. Each drawer has a slot for a label. The file box measures about 15 1/2" wide x 13 1/2" deep x 18" tall. Excellent condition. There are several chips to the rear back bottom as pictured. This is an early Weis single drawer file cabinet. The box is made of tiger oak and as the photos show. The joinery in the wood construction is of a mission style and displays well. The cabinet measures 15" deep x 8" wide x 6 1/4" tall and the single drawer is capable of holding card files 6" wide and 4 1/2" tall. The hardware for securing the files is present and works well. There is a brass pull on the drawer that has a 2 1/4" x 1" slot for holding a label. The only thing the file cabinet is missing is a footpad or thick headed tack on the bottom rear left corner. The original Weis label is still on the top of the box, although it is faded. The cabinet does have some scratches on it, but nothing that is too distracting. This is a beautiful piece but it's old and it's not perfect. The top has 2 dents(see pics) This is solid oak and oak veneer(side panels and very top) The veneer is all there but it has minor lifting in some small areas. 2 file drawers work fine. 2 pullout shelves work great. Not sure what the 6 pullout files along the top were used for. I was always going to make them into drawers but never did. Cabinet at bottom is clean and doors work great.
