The original finish is very well preserved with little wear. There is a slight discoloration on the bottom of the left side, see photos. Embossed brasses are original. Upper shelves have grooves to display plates, if desired. Inside the drop front are cubicles for letters and papers on this American made vintage furniture. Drawer fronts are gracefully bowed.
