For sale is a VitaMix. Vita Prep 3 blender. Model 1005. To my knowledge this is the finest Vita Mix made. It is a commercial model featuring more power and built like a tank. I originally bought this blender for use in a commercial kitchen, but the wifey kept it for herself. It has only seen light home use, and is in great working condition. The pitcher and plunger show normal wear. The main unit/ base look practically new(at least to me.see pics) The blades are sharp. Nothing needs maintenance or replacement. My wife loves this blender and has babied it since we bought it. It comes with everything you see in the pics minus my plant. You are just bidding on the motor part only. Not working correctly. Read details below before bidding. Cosmetics-Body has surface rubbing wear. Coating loss, and scratches. Some dripped residue in areas from use. See lots of photos. Operational Condition-I checked it out and it does power up. It runs smoothly on the high setting. When you have it switched to variable it will run but is inconsistent. Its adjusts fairly smoothly on the upper half(faster) area of the knob range. But when you have it on the lower(slower) half of the range it does not adjust correctly. It seems to studder and has a hard time deciding what speed it should be. This is the commercial Vitamix like they use at Orange Julius and places like that. I've been using it at home since I bought it new. This is higher wattage/amperage than the home model. Heavy duty. This came with a spare socket drive that is included. The original socket is showing some wear, but still works fine. It's the drive on top of the base that the canister goes on. It's easy to change.
