These have a lot of decorating potential. I used them for a while with candles in candle holders sitting on them. And took them down when I redecorated. Theyve been in storage since. I used to think I'd apply white paint& some pink heart-shaped chandelier prisms for a shabby chic look but never did. The shelves are wood and the swirly part is metal. They are painted dark brown and have a sawtooth hanger back. They have gorgeous drippy prisms that really set them off. I used to think they would look better with crystal chain connecting the 3 prism on the shelves(like a chandelier) Like I said you could do so much blinging with these. Oak Barrister Bookcase Book Case Glass Panels Doors Shelves
A beautiful three-shelf solid oak(and oak veneers) barrister's bookcase purchased new in 1997 from a reputable South Bend. Indiana furniture retailer. This piece is in gently used condition. As you can see from a couple of the photos, there is a rectangle of dark space on the top of the piece caused by a lamp resting on the top and sun fading the surrounding area. One of the photos shows a wood stain behind a knob on the center shelf door. This occurred in the manufacturing and is under the polyurethane. There is some minor scuffing along the baseboard of the piece. Glass is very clean and free from scratches. When closed, the doors do a very good job of protecting contents from dust. The shelves can be mixed and matched other than shown. The Container Store's online planner can help one customize. A local Container Store cuts free, precise to about the half inch, while a shelf stocked at 36 inches wide is actually 35.5 inches wide. There are no functional problems. The desk has modest darkening. And a nick about a millimeter that can be covered by a keyboard placed slightly yet reasonably leftward. A couple of ventilated shelves and several brackets exhibit small to modest areas of ... moreepoxy darkened, but apparently not particularly eroded, by chemical splash, a flaw that I noticed during preparation for sale, but not during normal use. The's photograph is slightly misleading in that the upper two. Right shelves photographed are cut of three inches, whereas the two being sold for there are the full 36 inches wide, not cut. These Broyhill shelves are in excellent shape! They would make a fantastic addition to your living room or office. All solid hardwood(cherry) This is quality well built furniture. Two matching shelves. One shelf has a closed cabinet on the bottom while the other is open on top and bottom. Both shelves have working back lights on the top half of them to make for a really nice look. Both shelves are stained in a natural finish and have been excellently maintained. Both shelves have leveling pads on the base to match height with each-other and with uneven floors. Available is a pair of beautiful vintage. Italian wall shelves. The tops are wood, and the body is a heavy duty, unglazed porcelain or ceramic. They are marked, but it is difficult to read it. I can just make out what looks like Radisi, GNA and Italy. See photos. They measure 13 inches from end of shelf to the top and 15 1/2 inches across the back of the top. I don't know the year these were made. But they have been around for a very long time. Someone told us that they may be from the 1920s. I don't know. There is a repair by the bolt. A small half-circle of porcelain had broken off. But was crudely glued back in place. It would not be visible when the shelves are hung on the wall. These have recently been spray-painted an off-white color. Notice the paint is not even on the wood top of one of the shelves. The wood was not sanded ... moreprior to painting. Some like this look. This is set of 3 handmade antique fretwork shelves that have fantastic detail. The two larger shelves feature a charming scene of a dog(or fox) trying to get a little closer to two crested birds eating fruit in a tree. So detailed. Even a delicate ladder and some tiny blades of grass are visible. Underneath the larger shelves are some gothic style arches with decorative points and a heart shaped cutout on the bottom. One of the shelves is missing a decorative point underneath which doesn't significantly affect it's appearance, shown in the photos. The only other damage is a small crack in the fretwork that was glued(also shown in the photos) and is not obvious. The smaller shelf is in very good condition with no visible damage. I have 7 of these shelves. They are 26" wide and 5/8" thick(for high cone firing) Really too heavy to ship but I could crate them and ship them at your expense. Each shelf weighs 17 lbs.
