VINTAGE STANLEY CHROME PLATED THERMAL HOT AND COLD CARAFE
Up for bid is a vintage chrome plated art deco style Stanley Thermos made by Landers. Frary& Clark. It has a beautiful art deco design and style but it is not in perfect condition. There is a small dimple in the center back of the chrome body of the pitcher. The handle has some loss of the chrome plating along the top edge and a little along the mid center side edge of the handle. My camera is not of great quality so the picture shows the flaw but a little blurred. There is also some engraving on the picture it is dated 1950 and has initials and the words"Mills Hosp. engraved in it. Actually I did not even notice the engraving until I started cleaning it in preparation for this listing. The chrome is shiny and bright but show age and wear. I think it is still a lovely piece and amazing to have survived over 65 years and still look ... moreas good as it does. Stanley company engraved the words"it will not break" in the bottom next to their Logo and I guess they were not kidding! Oh, it also comes with its own stopper to keep hot things hot and cold things cold.

Dug in the vicinity of Cold Harbor. Virginia, this is a very large, silver-plated brass thimble. It is approximately.796 inches in diameter at the base, and is in excellent condition, retaining the majority of its' plating. Although I am fairly certain that it is of Civil War vintage, I cannot prove that it is, so I have listed it under the"sewing" category. Antique Porcelain Cold Water Faucet Handle. This faucet handle is for the cold water side. Made from brass that has been plated the metal finish has developed a nice patina. As well as it does show signs of wear. As for the porcelain handle, its in good with a very fine hairline on the underside of the handle. It does not run the entire length of the handle nor does it appear to have any effect on the stability of the porcelain. The hole in the handle measures approx. 3/8 inch in diameter. Overall length of handle is 3 and 3/8 inches long.

Found in a old farm house. Spigots have some plate loss and have some old paint on them as seen in pictures. Handles turn freely and I'm sure the gaskets and washers inside need replacing to prevent leaks. Handles are stamped"H" and"C" The opening on the back for the water pipe is 3/4" Each spigot weighs just under a pound. Each spigot measures approx. 4 1/4" from the back plate to the spout. This is for the 2 faucets you see in the first picture. Quite old. But not sure just how old. As you can see, they are both a matching set. I believe they are brass, perhaps nickel plated? Not quite sure. Would need to be polished, I think. Tarnish or patina. You can see the white plumbers dope that was used to seal them. I assume that they work just fine, although I have no real way to test them. They may need to be adjusted, as I am having difficulty turning them on or off.
