Vintage Mid-Century KROMEX ICE BUCKET+TONGS~Aluminum &Bakelite?~BALL Handle~VGUC
This auction is for a vintage. Mid-century, KROMEX Aluminum Covered Ice Bucket with Tongs. I think the black strip around the Ice bucket is Bakelite, but haven't tested it. This is also the ice bucket with the Ball handle. It is in very good used condition, showing only mild, normal signs of use. There is a dent in the edge of the cover, along the rim, but this could probably easily be bent back out. I will leave that to the discretion of the new owner, as it is barely noticeable, and may not be an issue, as it is part of its vintage charm. If you look closely at the picture of the inside of the bucket with the lid to the side, you may be able to see where one side is just not as rounded as the rest. this is the"dent" Other than this, this ice-bucket is in great shape, and will be a nice touch to your retro, or modern kitchen. ... moreI'm not sure if the tongs are original to this bucket, but I believe these are also vintage, and from this same era. There are 3"finger holes" on the lid for easy lifting. The base of the ball is insulated for keeping ice cold. The diameter is about 10 inches and the circumference is about 30 inches. This is something you need to have! A stunning Mid Century Modern Black with silver trim and clear Lucite handle and knob ice bucket. It comes with 4 Atomic Silver High ball glasses. It is in excellent condition with the exception of a very small crack in the lid right underneath the knob which may have come from someone tightening the knob to much but it does not impede with the use or the beauty of the bucket. The bucket appears to have not been used much. The bucket is 8 1/2" tall and 8" in diameter. It would look great in any home but a home that is decorated in Mid Century décor it would look splashing. RARE 1913 Snow Ball Freezer Richmond Cedar Works Ice Cream Maker 4 QT Cedar Tub
Up for auction is an extremely rare Snowball Freezer. Ice cream maker by Richmond Cedar Works, Richmond Virginia. This antique ice cream displays the last eat patent date of 1913 on their 4 quart Snow Ball model. This has a very nice wooden barrel type design with metal bands holding the barrel together. The bands are rusty needs attention but are all intact. The cedar tub is painted off in blue and fairly nice but worn and stained in places. This is a hand crank freezer and the handle turns freely and the gears all work. The paper label on the front is largely intact but has some smudges and has two rips approximately 1/2" 3/4" long but thin. Some of the metal pieces have whiting corrosion or oxidation that needs to be scrubbed or scraped. The handcrank lock on the side of the tub is fully functional. Vintage Ball Pitcher USA, Shawnee, With Ice Lip
Up for auction is a spectacular Vintage Shawnee ball pitcher. This is a cream colored pitcher adorned with two sunflower's and leaves on one side. One single sunflower on the other and a stripe of green on the handle. The pitcher sits on an angle and has an ice lip. It measures approx 7" H by 7" from its widest point to spout. It is signed U.S.A. on the bottom. There are no chips, cracks, or repairs. The only condition issue is discoloration in an area under the spout on the pitcher and discoloration on the bottom. I have tried to show this as best I can in the pictures. Otherwise this piece is in very nice vintage condition for it's age. P
