Lot of TWO Motorola MJ3001 Silicon in TO-3 cases. These are ones of several that were used for prototyping. And per the protocol were only used once. Some were used in sockets, some were soldered via wire, some were on PC boards, as it was all part of the prototyping protocol to see which had lower manufacturing cost. These were attached to heat sinks and for some reason have some scratches on the top but that won't impact operation. The were acquired by me sometime in the early 1980's and were supposed to be used in a series of power supplies I was going to manufacture(until I got a real job) Images do a nice job of representing the lot. For sale is a lot of semi-conductors that I bought quite a while ago from someone who was into computer repair. This was 1993. A few of the items were from my purchases. Working on amplifiers. There is a mixed(too much to list) grab bag of stuff that has been seated in anti-stat foam and stored in a parts organizer. Contact for more details though a complete inventory would be impractical. It came in handy at times to keep this stuff around but-trying to get away from this aspect of my'do-it-yourselfing' tendencies. There are: A multitude of transistors: Motorola. 1974 Fender Blender. For starters. It works perfect and is clean and original except for the bubble nut on top. 1974! Fairchild button transistors. Screams and kills. Murders. With the sustain knob set all the way down. You have one of the best modern evil distortions I have heard. Seems to have some octave up and down hints. Clone of the classic Fuzz Face circuit, hand-wired on veroboard. It uses a selected mismatched set of AC128 PNP germanium transistors. Producing medium gain fuzz tones. Components include carbon comp resistors. Vishay Roederstein electrolytic capacitors, Vishay Sprague Orange Drop output capacitor, Alpha potentiometers and high quality Neutrik input/output jacks. Switching is true bypass via a heavy duty 3PDT footswitch. With a bright purple LED status indicator. The pedal is neatly packed in a handy storage box, including a fresh 9-volt battery and a set of adhesive rubber feet attached at the bottom plate. Controls from right to left are Fuzz. Bias, Volume ... moreand Bass Depth switch. Fuzz and Volume are the classic fuzz face controls. The Bass Depth switch is stock Fuzz Face on the upper position, while the lower position provides a sublte tightness on the bass. The additional Bias control is very very handy for tuning the transistors depending on the environment conditions, or for on-the-spot fine tuning your sound to a more saggy, normal, or aggresive setting. Additionally the transistors are socketed giving the user the ability to easily switch them for a different transitor type pair if so desired, for example the super-consistent Russian 1T308V, or the also super quality CV7003. Care should be taken so as not to mix the pinouts. Condition: I built and painted this pedal myself on May 2011. And it has only been used by me and noone else. It has several cosmetic flaws mostly due to sloppy storage; I have never used this pedal anywhere apart from home. Photos are included showing its condition as accurately as possible. These 212 Gold Plated 2N3244 transistors were carefully removed from IBM boards. The leads and bottoms of the packages are nicely gold plated. I removed the spacer from between the boards and packages on about a dozen to better show the gold areas. Most still have the spacer installed.

Nearly impossible to find and 3 examples of electronic history is 1 Ediswan PXA101 and 2 Ediswan XA101 germanium transistors from 1956. I have had these for many many years and acquired from from an old English Gentlemen who was an electronic repairman for many decades. These have never been used or soldered in any way. The white dot indicates the collector and all 3 test HFE listed in the pictures and all measure below 25uA in leakage. Ediswan issued five Germanium PNP junction transistors in 1956. All in a characteristic'top hat' package. The XA101 and XA102 were described respectively as an IF amplifier and a"frequency changer and/or oscillator on the medium and long wave bands" They had a maximum collector-emitter voltage of 16 volts and ... morea maximum power dissipation of 60 milliwatts. I have a letter dated June 1958 that gives their prices as 12/11d and 15/1d respectively. Germanium transistors branded'Ediswan' were made by Siemens Edison Swan Ltd. Another company with a long and complex history. Its roots lie in the 19th century, when the electric lighting and power distribution industry was just starting. In London in the 1880's the Siemens brothers were developing electric lighting at a factory in Woolwich. Also very active in the UK was the famous. In the USA Thomas Edison was prominent. But when he tried to sell products in Europe, his patents were challenged by Swan, which was resolved by a business merger that created the Edison Swan company. This particular one is from 1981 from the date-code on the potentiometer. This one has the EH3034 TCI-A4H 94HB circuit board with NSC 2N5088 transistors. This model has the"tone bypass" option that was found on Big Muffs at the time. These are classics, used by many notable artists from Carlos Santana, Pink Floyd, Nirvana, Dinosaur Jr, Pavement, Smashing Pumpkins, Mudhoney, The White Stripes to Sonic Youth. A Great vintage find here. A 1960's Japanese made Tempo FET and Silicon transistor amp head. Has built in reverb and tremolo which has a eerily tone! very unique. if i didn't already have a killer tube amp id be all over weird amps like this. it was sitting in dry storage for many. many years and it turned right on. albeit i sprayed some contact cleaner in the pots 1st before switching it on.its still a little scratchy so it's needing some more cleaning of the pots,All the knobs do work(missing one knob)and i tested it with the 4 x12 orange cab and it actually pushes those 4 speakers nicely.But probably Should work best with just one or two speakers.I searched for a review on this amp and found one review on the vintage amp forum. http:forums.vintageamps.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=96251 This Being a vintage amp this is going ... moreto be sold as is due to scratchy pots and possibly other unaware issues?None the less it does work and sounds great.check out my other listing for the bass that came with it)
