It is continuously tunable from 14 to 30 kHz. I have not been able to find any information or a manual for this receiver over the years that I have owned it. It seems to be a very rare unit. This one could be the last one on the face of the earth. It is a large and heavy rack mount unit. And it is built like a tank. There is a description of the DY2365B(B version) on the last page of the Hewlett Packard Journal of October 1964, Volume 16, Number 2. PDF version here: I do not know if this unit works. The instruments is designed to make precise frequency and amplitude measurements of incoming signals from other instrument sources or other signals from antenna systems. Like a spectrum analyzer or EMI receiver. However it makes a great VLF receiver as well. This covers the frequency range of 300HZ to 3.5 mhz. This is as removed from service. It appears to not have been used for years. The internal battery is dead. They are a easily obtained battery and if you need to run it on batteries then you can purchase new ones and install them. The existing battery has not been removed. But probably should be, before you use it. I have hooked it up to a short piece of wire and listened to the local AM radio stations.

Palomar Engineers Loop Antenna package + VLF converter.
This is a package of four items from Palomar Engineers. The first is the actual Loop Amplifier(base) This is the original model. The predecessor to the LA-1. There are two plug in loops for it. The first is for the AM broadcast band. The coverage is about 530 to 1600 khz. The second loop is the"160/80" meter amateur bands loop. The coverage is from 1.6 mhz to 4.0 mhz. These ranges are approximate, with some overlap. The last item is a VLF converter. The input is from 10 to 500 khz and the output is from 3.5 to 4.0 mhz. Both the conveter and the loop amplifier operate from a single 9 volt battery, connected at the back. The plug on the 160/80 loop became loose. I stopped it from wiggling with some epoxy. I resoldered a wire back on the 9 volt battery connector on the loop amplifier. Neither of these repairs affect the operation. ... moreOnly the cosmetics. As you can see, there are scratches and scuffs on all of these components. However, as best as I can tell, everything is functional when I first bought it all new. As of right now. I cannot locate any operating instructions. If you are a serious listener looking for a good loop amplified loop antenna, you will know or will be able to use this. It is fairly straightforward. You plug in the appropriate loop at the top, turn it on, then begin peaking the signal with the front left side control. Then, you can rotate the loop for more of a peak or to null out a noise source. The loop can also be tilted. The amplifier has a very high Q, so the front tuning is sharp. Continental US sales only! This is a Wells Gardner CWQ-46230 made for the Navy. Serial number 49. This has a tag on it with a received date of"April 28'44" stamped into it. This Radio is damaged and does not operate. The tuning capacitor is loose in the chassis. It looks like the radio took a substantial hit to the tuning knob. It was enough to shear the mounting hardware. The glass is gone and the long(rear) needle dose not work when the dial is turned. The face plate around the dial is bent inward and the rotating dial is not straight. Fisher Metal Detector VLF 555-D Dual Discriminator with ISO-Planer Search Head
This is a very lightly used Fisher metal detector. I bought it new and used it to find lost coins. Keys, and screws. It uses two battery packs that hold 6 AA batteries each. It is in excellent condition. The operator's manual is included. I do not need it anymore. Before listing it on Ebay, I ran it over a bunch of coins in my grass and found every one. You can run it in a normal mode or a discriminator mode with the flip of a switch. From the operator's manual: The 555-D is a true VLF(very low frequency) transmitter-receiver detector. The 8" search coil provides the relic hunter or coin shooter with better depth penetration than search coils of smaller diameters. Battery compartment is clean and shows no sign of leakage. Vintage RME LF-90 Low Frequency Converter for RME-69 VLF
RME- Radio Manufacture Engineers- LF-90 Can be used with any receiver or even a table AM radio capable of receiving 1550 kHz. Covers 95 to 590 KHz in two bands. Converts to 1550 kHz. I powered this up. Ran the coax cable output to an AM radio set for 1550 KHz. Using my signal generator, I fed 95 through 590 kHz into the input and received a strong signal in the AM radio. This unit appears to be working properly although what you receive will depend upon your antenna and whatever signals are available in your area. This was sold as an option for the RME-69 or 70 receiver. It has an internal power supply with AC cord so it is very easy to connect. The off/on switch also acts as a bypass for the antenna.
