It also has a transparent opaque front frame that I have never seen on any other Agilent/HP product. Based on the history of the unit it had some problems in the output so the front panel display board was pulled to put in another unit. It is missing the display. It may have additional unknown problem as well but is complete except for the display and the rear terminal screws. We are selling this one as is and with no returns.

Up for your consideration/ auction is an Vintage Hewett Packard Power supply HP 6271B regulated power supply. Please read this description and review and examine all the pictures before placing any bids on this item. I have had this power supply in my possession since 7-14-2001. I bought this for a project that I never did get around to doing. It has been inside of dry storage of an warehouse for the past 11 years. I have not used it. It is made in U.S.A. from the back information plate lettering of silk screen printing that was done at the factory. This power supply is in nice condition. It has been lightly used. With only some scratch marks on the bottom from being moved around in it's storage days. There are a few scratches on the top left edge of the case from being handled and that is all of the marks on the other sides of this case ... morethat I could find. There is also some glue residue that is embedded into the paint on the middle part of the front panel. The front panel is in nice usable shape with all the hand tighten screw on terminals present and the Phillips-head screws are all in great shape with no rounding out of the heads of the screws. The power on indicator is present and looks to be in good shape. The COARSE. FINE VOLTAGE and the COARSE, FINE CURRENT knobs are present and in great shape. They move smoothly through their range of motion with no ruff spots. The knobs are complete with no cracks or missing parts. Selling One Functional HP 6612 0-20V. 0-2A Power Supply. No power or communication cords are provided. System was tested by comparing voltages and currents to a HP34401A DMM. Syst em p owered up. Passed self-test, and passed the check out procedure in the manual(open circuit and closed circuit test) HPIB communication was tested by connecting the power supply to a Windows computer running VEE Pro 6.0. The computer via HPIB was able to communicate with the PS. A set point of 6 V was sent to the power supply, and the power supply meter noted 6V on the screen. ISSUES: 1) The front plastic cover of the unit is cracked on the right side. One has to be careful removing the test leads. 2) The manufacture and model number is missing from the front cover. I believe this was an internal test unit at HP. The system was identified by connecting it to ... morethe VEE Pro 6.0 program via HPIB. The program loaded in drivers for a 6612. Also.
