Vintage HP 6259B DC Power Supply 0-10V 0-50A Very hard to find in this condition
Up for your consideration/ auction is an Vintage Hewett Packard Power supply HP 6259B regulated power supply. Please read this description and review and examine all the pictures before placing any bids on this item. I have had this power supply in my possession since 7-3-2000. I bought this for a project that I never did get around to doing. It has been inside of dry storage of an warehouse for the past 11 years. I have not used it. It is made in U.S.A. from the back information plate lettering of silk screen printing that was done at the factory. This power supply is in nice condition. It has been lightly used. With only some scratch marks on the bottom from being moved around in it's storage days. There are some scratches on the top cover and bottom cover of the case from being handled and that is all of the marks on the other sides ... moreof this case that I could find. There is also some glue residue that is embedded into the paint on the middle part of the front panel. The front panel is in nice usable shape with all the hand tighten screw on terminals present and the Standard-head screws are all in great shape with no rounding out of the heads of the screws. The power on indicator is present and looks to be in good shape. The power On/Off switch moves from one position to the other with a nice click sound and feel when moved. The COARSE. FINE VOLTAGE and the COARSE, FINE CURRENT knobs are present and in great shape. They move smoothly through their range of motion with no ruff spots. The knobs are complete with no cracks or missing parts. Some of the case screws that are not stainless steel do have some surface rust on them The only thing I could find wrong is that are a few areas on the front face where the paint has worn away and the metal is slightly exposed and you can see this in the photos of the front face. All the sides of the casing seems to be in great shape with no major marks or dents. There is a few areas where the factory paint has come off and there are a small bit of surface rust on there area

The shipping prices eBay provides may not be correct For sale here is a bench supply from Hewlett Packard. This is also badged as a Harrison product. As was usual with HP PSU's of this time. This can produce up to 7.5V at a current of up to 3A. The voltage can be varied from close to zero to up to 7.5V. The current limit from zero up to 3A. Crossover from constant voltage to constant current is automatic when the limit current is reached. There are coarse and fine controls to set both the output voltage and current limit. The single meter can be switched ... moreto read either voltage or current. There are two ranges of each. 0.9V, 9V, 4A and 0.4A. This works fine and I've just checked it can deliver the full output without problems. Which it does. The meter works smoothly and doesn't stick. The potentiometers are all wirewound types and work without any problems. Condition is pretty good. There are some marks on the front panel but otherwise it is OK. This clearly shows it's age and the front panel and case are a bit tatty but no worse than you would expect from something that could be nearly 50 years old. Terms and Conditions.
