Ralmike's 4x6x4x1 Angle Plate, GC USED
Bloody but unbowed is a Ralmike's 4 square by 6 tall. Still very good and not deeply stained. I'm not sure where Ralph was getting his fixturing work from back in the 70's but the apparent original hardness of this thing and it's stability for the time I've had it. maybe an old Suburban. Doubtful it's a Herman Schmitt just because of the hole layout. Be advised this item is a little undersize all over. but I wasn't the perfectionist to dust it. In any event. I experienced much better stability of the angle settings going to Class 8's, hope you agree. easier to work with in there as well. Dead level left to right at any angle- and HOORAY I found the fence. It's a homegrown. Not guilty on that one it sticks out like sore thumbs both ends. The overall quality of the joint and basic built in precision of this one is true Brit, and I'm sorry to see it go. but I'm happy with something smaller and here you go. Toolmaker's Stepped Angle Plate
This is a vintage stepped and tapped small angle or fixture plate. I purchased this over 20 years ago from the retiring toolmaker who handcrafted it. It is in excellent condition and never been used in a production setting. It has no dents. Tooling marks, etc. Murrie did stamp his name on this unit(see photo) And it is also stamped with S7. Which I believe to be the material that it is made out of. The unit is approximately 2 1/2" x 2 1/4" There are 2 steps on each face. The first being approximately.620 from the bottom. The second being approximately.785 from the bottom. All of the holes are drilled and tapped for 1/4 x 20. There are chip slots at each step. The unit appears to have been professionally ground. Up for bid is a very very nice lot of 4 sets of parallels. All parallels are hardened and ground. They are all about 8 inches long. 2 inches longer than normal parallels. They are all also about 1/2 inches thick. The heights are as follows: 1) 755 inches tall 2) 980 inches tall 3) 1.240 inches tall and 4) 1.455 inches tall. A few nicks that can be stoned. hardened and ground angle plate for grinding milling machinist tools
Up for bid is a very very nice angle plate. The side in picture 3 is about 2.250 inch tall X 2.420 wide. The side in picture 4 is 2.257 tall and also 2.420 wide. This is a very nice angle plate which was made by a retired tool maker. It does have a small ding in the upper left hand corner of picture 3. 7 holes on the face) It also has his name stamped in the recessed sections on the sides. see pics 1 and 2) Every face has been ground. This is a well done plate. On the back side of the angle plate It is also ground on the faces but has a small gouge on the back side of the face with 7 holes. Thanks for looking. Lapping Plate Cast Iron Round 5 3/8" x 1 1/2" with Wooden Carrying Case
Up for Auction is a cast iron Round Lapping Plate with clamping holes for securing. It measures 5 3/8" diameter x 1 1/2" high. It comes in a beautiful round wooden case with green felt lining. I can find no manufacturing marks on this item. It has been around our shop for at least 20 years and has seen very little use. It is in near perfect condition except for one tiny flaw which I pointed out in the pictures with a red arrow. The box integrity wise is solid but does have blemishes and scratching from age. The plate itself has some minor blemishes from age but would not effect performance. I am always happy to combine multiple item purchases whenever possible.
