Large velcro closures for plenty of sizing adjustment. I found nothing wrong with this other than a small amount of black marks on the back side of the hood that I tried to show in the one closeup photo.See the 6th photo. Cairns 1044 Defender Fire Helmet Deluxe Nice Condition
Up for auction is an used Cairns 1044 Defender. The helmet is in good condition overall. I used it for about 8 months on the job. And then got a job where a helmet is provided. This helmet has the flip down safety glasses which are in good condition. It does have some black marks on it, mostly on the back where my helmet band rubbed on it, it may come off some elbow grease. When I was inspecting it I found a small surface crack under the front brim, the crack does not go all the way through, in fact as I look at it more it appears to just be a crack finish of the plastic.
