MACHINIST ANGLE PLATES - LOT OF 6 - FIVE DIFFERENT STYLES
I spent 30 years as a Special Machine Builder and Machinist. I retired from the tooling trade over 20 years ago so the time has come to pass along my precision tools and tooling to someone who has a use for them. For sale are a few more machinist angle plates. Lot of 6 with five different styles. Some are from my collection. Made back in the late 60's. These plates have been stored since I retired over 20 years ago. It is time for someone else to use them. To describe them I am using numbers 1-5. All plates are singles except number 5 which has 2 pieces. The larger one(1) is hardened and ground on all outer faces and edges. There is staining and some light pitting on the bottom, from age. My name is also stamped in the top edge. 2) this was ground years ago, has four 5/16-18 tapped holes, not hardened. 3) Shaper finish on all sides except ... morethe front main face, which has been ground but not hardened. The name of the person I bought it from is on it. 4) both outside main faces ground, not hardened. 5) both pieces have machined finishes only. I made sketches of all five styles with some dim. to give you an idea of the sizes. Sketch# matches plate number. All have been stoned smooth and checked for square on the main faces. GRINDING MILLING DRILLING FIXTURE Here is a VINTAGE GRINDING FIXTURE WITH a TILTING V BLOCK WITH CLAMPS and a LARGE BASE PLATE. It could probably used on a drill press or milling machine also. The base is about a 7" triangle made of cast iron. The item on the bottom doesn't let it turn very far but with it removed it will turn 90 degrees. If you would remove the pin also the fixture would revolve 360 degrees. The jig is about 4 3/4" high. The fixture had some rust on it so I used some remover to clean it and then dismantled it to oil and make sure it was working. See pictures. Item Photos. Click to enlarge.
