The item has plenty of patina from sitting so long and would look amazing with a good clean and polish of the aluminum. One spot on the lower handle has surface corrosion and the trigger is pretty heavily oxidized. I imagine the entire internals of the gun will need to be cleaned and serviced. The trigger works freely and had very frim recoil, no issues. Nozzle face screws on and off and the inside nozzle tip is in good shape. All required moving parts still move with no issues. I have not used it in a few years and that is the reason I am selling it. It has the capability to run 2 guns at the same time. It also can spray block fillers. This listing is for a used TURN KEY paint rig that is IDEAL for painting small aircraft. It consists of a Graco Pro XS2 high pressure atomization(NOT HVLP) electrostatic spray gun plus a electro-polished stainless steel 5 liter pressure paint tank. Also included are the Graco 5' high-flexibility grounded air hose that attaches directly to the spray gun and a 40' grounded high-flow air hose with high-flow quick disconnect fittings to run from the paint rig back to the shop air supply. With this setup. You do not need a separate ground wire as long as your shop air uses metal piping since the hose will serve as ground! Though this gun is well used. It was also well maintained. The fluid tip and air cap were both replaced circa 2012 with a new High Solids air cap. The electrode was also replaced at that time. You will get 2 low time ... moreconventional solids air caps and one high solids air cap. With these caps you can spray any polyurethane paint system you encounter such as Awl-Grip, Jet-Glo, Mankiewicz, DuPont Aero in either regular or high solids versions and get an amazing finish along with JAW DROPPING speed of application! When I switched to this rig from conventional high-production spray guns(Binks BBR) my paint consumption was cut in HALF. And yet my application speed went way up. You can get similar transfer efficiency and finish as a Graco Pro XS2 from the latest and best HVLP guns but those have NOWHERE NEAR the application speed! This is really important if you are painting something large like a small aircraft or a semi truck or a bus or a rail locomotive or a yacht. We often would spend 3 or 4 hours in the booth just painting one plane. If we had been using HVLP guns that would have been 6-8 hours and few painters can paint that long. You just run out of juice: The 5 liter polished stainless steel tank is just the right size for painting larger items such as small aircraft or semi truck trailers because you can finish one full coat without needing to stop and refill. Paid $600 at the time last year. I bought it to refinish my furniture and now have no need for the thing. Great piece of equipment for someone who can use it. The pot is the newer CAPspray 2.5 gallon pot with high flow regulators. Setup is simple. All you have to do is connect the air and fluid hoses to the gun and pot. Screw on the wheels to the bottom of the pot, and screw on the provided female universal quick connect coupler to your existing air hose. Universal coupler is included to allow the use of the High Flow quick connect installed on the pot) Recommend pressure settings: Compressor Gauge: 40-60 psi, Pot regulator: 8-15 psi(this pressure pushes the paint up to the gun via the fluid hose) Gun air regulator: 10-20 psi(this pressure atomizes the paint) Compressor recommendation: We like to recommend a 2hp 12 gallon set up(or larger) for this setup. You could get by with a smaller tank(even SprayTech uses a small 2HP 4gallon tank on their CS1000 setup) but would recommend a 3 HP with the smaller 4 gallon tanks. We realized we only ever needed 8 guns, so we removed two, this is one of them. It has very minimal use, only tested a few times. We had a resistor probe go out in another gun and pulled it from this gun. It does not have resistor probe, but one can be ordered from Nordson, they are not very expensive.
