This spray gun has not been tested but appears to be unused. It is clean inside and out. There doesn't seem to be much"spring" in the trigger mechanism but it doesn't jam up. Spray head is clean. As are the air holes in the nozzle. There are the initials JAM scratched into the upper right side of the handle. Hello. This auction contains a very clean Binks Model 7 spray paint gun with a Binks 1 quart cup! Please see pictures and ask any questions you have! As you can see from the pictures the gun and cup are in excellent and clean condition! The guns serial number is 616836. The gun also comes with a very nice tip and has the number 36SD on it. I bought this gun from a garage sale so I have never used it nor am I a painter but there is nothing that makes me think this gun is not a working gun! All knobs move as they should, the trigger feels nice and moves the center piece of the nozzle in and out. Everything tightens down nice and tight and was well taken care off! There are a few cosmetic scratches on the gun but still looks great! The Binks cup has a couple minor dings along the bottom diameter of the cup but take nothing away from how clean ... morethe cup is compared to some I have seen on Ebay! Mid Century Binks Model 7 Paint Spray Gun Purchased from an estate of retired Navy Radioman. This mid century industrial spray gun is highly prized by hot rodders. Rat rodders, and lead sled fabricators due to its reliability to apply thick gel coats and polyester acrylics. For sale is a lightly used and meticulously cared for binks Model 7 spray gun with 36SD aircap. I am the original owner and used it for personal projects. This gun includes the paint cup. Lid and siphon tube as shown in the photos. I left the quick connect for air hose connection on the gun. I did some cleaning prior to photos but you may find some paint residue which I missed. The paint inlet area and gallery on the gun have been cleaned. The leather seals on the needle and air valve have been checked and oiled. This gun and cup might pass for new except for small traces of paint residue such as in the breather tube, the cup lid seal gasket, siphon tube tapered top end, and on the cup locking mechanism. There is a spare breather tube in the cup box. ONE USED BINKS MODEL 7 SPRAY PAINT GUN AND CANISTER. THIS WAS USED BY MY FATHER WHO EARNED HIS LIVING PAINTING CARS. TRUCKS, BOATS, MOTORCYCLES, RADIO CONTROLLED AIRPLANES, TRAILERS, ETC. BECAUSE HE VALUED HIS TRADE, NO OTHER PERSON WAS ALLOWED TO HANDLE HIS SPRAY GUNS! HE TOOK EXTRA GOOD CARE OF THEM, AND ALWAYS CLEANED THEM THOROUGHLY AFTER EACH USE. MY FATHER WAS A WELL-ESTABLISHED BUSINESS PERSON AND OWNED HIS OWN BODY SHOP FOR SEVERAL YEARS. ALTHOUGH I DON'T KNOW MUCH ABOUT THE GUNS, I DO KNOW THEY WORKED WHEN THEY WERE RETIRED ABOUT TEN YEARS AGO.
