This is a vintage harmonium. And it is the'Deluxe Model' from"Bina" It has the accordion type bellows on the sides, and the piano keys on the top. When you open the bellows and pump them a little, the piano keys all produce sound from them. The piece doesn't have a case if it originally had one, and it has some small type scratches on it, and hte back portion edge area of one of the sides has broken off. Steinway Model O Grand Piano lovely instrument
Nice example of Steinways much sought after model O grand. Five foot ten and a half inches in in length. I believe its a Hamburg from the round cheeks but am not 100% sure. Dates to the year 1909/ 1910. 5ft10 in length and 88 key. Lovely touch and tone as you would expect from a Steinway. Keys look like iv*ry but might be replicas. Otherwise clean and unchipped. Plays with a mellow tone with some nice overtones in the treble. Touchweight is medium to heavy and has a nice feel. There are no structural issues with the cast iron frame. The tuning is fine with no loose pins and was it tuned to concert pitch only recentlyl. Case could do with repolishing but all the internals are good and the hammers look as if they had been recently replaced at some point and dont show much wear. I am selling this instrument for a friend and know nothing about oboes, so I took it to a very well respected music shop for inspection. I've included a copy of the receipt with the owner's notations. He noted that adjustments were made to some of the keys, lubed the pivots, that it was in"good playing condition, and he valued it at $1,800 to $2,000. New costs about $3500 to $4500. He spent about a half hour demonstrating the oboe to me, playing it, and explaining how to put the three parts together. I prefer not to do that as these are rather delicate and easily damaged, so I've included an internet"stock" picture of the assembled model. OLD SKIASCOPIC EYE MODEL MEDICAL DEVICE Found in a local estate is this"Skiascopic Eye Model" Doctors trained with these to learn how to examine the fundus of the eye and to perform retinoscopy to determine the refractive error of the eye. I believe this one dates to the late 1800's. It is made of black painted brass and has a cast iron base. I opened the back to show the retinal image in the rear. Inside the barrel is a paper print of the back of an eye. The front where one places their eye has a paper printed eye with measurements. It measures about 8.5" tall. Condition is good but it does have lots of scratches and wear to the black painted surface and the paper eye has darkened with age. I see no makers mark. In order to examine the interior of the eye. It measures 19" long when assembled and it is in fine condition with no teeth marks on the air piece. It fits together snugly as is should and is a great Recorder. I do not know the significance of the box being marked Treble Schott Recorder and the actual unit being marked Alto Recorder. But that is the way it was when I acquired it. I bought this new a year ago and have used it three times. Lack of use and the fact that I rarely play live are factors in the decision to sell some of my cables and gear. This thing was barely used and works perfectly. I can't find the clip for it; I know that I have it and am still going to look this week. The reason it was lost is that. Even out of the box, the clip does not work and I did not use it; that goes for every one of this model. I fit this unit easily in my side or back pocket and another time I gently taped it to the outside of the guitar strap. The receiver also has some velcro on the bottom side as this sat on my pedalboard.
