Welcome. Up for auction is a Vintage Kleenex Tissue Paper Box Holder. It is made of Mother of Pearl. Brass and Cork. The sides. Top and inside bottom are covered in Mother of Pearl. The trim and frame works are made of Brass. The inside sides and very bottom is covered in Cork. This has the original sticker still attached on one end. It reads: No. Made in Philippines" I am unsure how old it is. But I think it is from the 1950's. If you know more about these, please let me know. If you have any questions or need more pictures, please feel free to email me. The outside dimensions are about 10 1/4 inches long. About 5 1/4 inches wide and about 3 3/4 inches tall. Condition: It is in great overall condition for it's age. The only serious damage is to the top side by the opening. There are some small cracks there around the ends. This vintage tissue box is made of white plastic and is from the 1960's. It was made by A.L. Swanson of Venice. California. It measures 11" x 5 1/2" and is 2 3/4" tall. It has a brown poodle painted in one corner and a design in the other. There are four tiny rhinestones on the cover for added effect. The cover lifts off to replace the tissue box. Wood Recycled Tissue Box Cover w/The imagination Of Me
I like to buy things at a thrift stores or yard sales and recycle them according to my imagination at the time. I don't sell them for much but I do think it is a good way to reuse things that may have been discarded. We need to do all we can to recycle. This is a wooden tissue box that I picked up a long the way and I have repainted it. Sometimes what I paint may seem really strange but I put on the projects what I feel at the moment. This are little mushroom kitties, then heart flowers. I have tried to make my projects look like they were recycled and all of the things I have put on this one were drawn free hand. RARE 1930's DERMEX VANITY FROSTED GLASS TISSUE ROLLER
Quite rare. 10 1/4" long X 3 3/4' tall. I believe this was made by Tiffin Glass in the 1930's. My opinion. No cracks or repairs. But do look at last photo to see minor wareing into the underside of lid. Over 80 years of use probably caused this. The designed frosted glass work is worn somewhat. Quite a nice, rare, displayable or usable vanity item from days gone by. Ask needed questions to insure satisfaction.
