FOR AUCTION; a really unique and old VINTAGE brass looking metal vanity tissue box holder with fitted lid and rose bud detail resting on top of the lid. It's very beautiful and the gold/brass metal color is highly reflective with shallow antiqued grooves etched into the metal. It's not marked with manufacturer mark"Matson" like these pieces usually are. I currently have a Matson votive candle holder up for action and they match PERFECTLY. This is why I'm surprised this tissue box does not have the manufacturer marks. The rose bud on the lid is the highlight of this piece. Every time you reach for a tissue you get a warm touch by the delicate and lovely little rose. SAKURA 8031 Slide Printer You're bidding on a Sakura Tissue-Tek 8031 Autowrite Slide Printer! The Sakura 8031 is a high resolution printer designed to print on microscope slides. This printer has three slide magazines that can hold 150 slides each. It uses chemically resistant ink and a UV curing system to print and process smudge-proof slides in less than 4 seconds. This printer was decommissioned from a university lab. It has a Sakura preventative maintenance tag dated 6/2011 and it was decommissioned in early 2012. So the PM was up to date when it was pulled from service. This unit is optioned with the 8033 unload station. It has been partially tested, as follows: The unit powers on and displays code 14(maintenance due or required) The unit responds to the cleaning button and goes through the cleaning routine. When a test print is ... moreattempted the unit loads the slide, transports it to the print mechanism and the print head traverses the slide with the correct motion; the slide is moved to the drying station, and the fan and heater work fine but there is no flash lamp installed, and the unit detects that the flash is insufficient and stops the cycle at that point. The optional tray loader indexes correctly and the mechanism that ejects the slide from the dryer operates correctly. In summary, the logic seems to be fine, the mechanisms work correctly, and the sensors correctly detect the presence of slides at various points in the transport mechanism. The unit did not print anything on the test slides, so it is likely that the print head, ink tubing, or pump needs servicing. The ink cartridge that is installed feels like it is mostly full but it is past the expiration date. There are some scuffs and chips on the plastic cover and ink stains on the side of the unit. This little paper mache Halloween cat rattle was purchased from the artist about 15 years ago at the great Halloween and Vine artists Halloween sale in Petaluma. CA. It still has the Acorn Cottage tag on it attached by black embroidery floss. It is about 4 7/8" long, with the head being 2" wide. Painted with a crazy adorable face. There is a burnt orange tissue ruff at the base of the head and the the handle is a thin stick, painted orange, with a tip of green. I don't know what was used inside for the rattle,but it makes a satisfying sound.
