NET Bag This is an original feed sack that once held 100 pounds of feed manufactured by Augusta Cooperative Farm Bureau with their main office in Staunton and other locations in Weyers Cave. Waynesboro, Fairfield and Stuarts Draft in Virginia. The sack measures about 24" x 38" has very readable printing on one side only and still retains the original stitching across the bottom and up the sides. It is made of burlap and excellent graphics in green, red and blue showing two horses, a cow, a pig and a chicken in a pasture with a barn and silo in the background. Beautiful Antique Hand Embroidered Net Lace Veil or Shawl.
Lovely Victorian/Edwardian Embroidered Net Lace Veil(bonnet veil/wedding veil? It is square and measures 118 cms x 118 cms. It has a double row along one side of embroidered styalised flowers. Each of the 5 petals has a diffent needle lace infill. I hope the photographs show this clearly. The other end has 1 row of the embroidered flowers. All around the scalloped edge there are more flowers and leaves. There are different infills to each set of three flowers repeated around the edge. It looks to be a Veil- certainly lovely enough to have been a Victorian/Edwardian wedding veil. Unlikely to have been a shawl because of the different treatment of both ends which leads me to believe this is a victorian veil. Entirely hand embroidered onto very fine net. There is an old darn and a couple of repairs around the edge so this is sold AF in antique ... morecondition. But this is still a very lovely item for someone who loves antique lace and costume. PAIR of GORGEOUS EDWARDIAN RUNNERS. These are FRENCH NET LACE that could be called TAMBOUR or ALENCON but I think they are Machine Made around the Turn of the Century. The pair is in MINT unused condition and measure 34" long by 17" wide. There is a lovely old patina on them from aging so you will find a very light golden color to the lace.
