An excellent condition dunkelgelb verbandkaste n as used in tropical or southern European regions. For whatever reason. Most of these cases with the tropical paint finish are in really rough condition with extensive oxidation and paint damage. This example is definitely better than most that are encountered. It exhibits mid war construction features such as the elimination of the wood lining on the interior sides. The finish is original to the case as is the contents label. Both latches function perfectly. The paper label exhibits some fading and light scuffing to include the location of the date on the bottom edge which makes it unreadable. I have a similar verbandkaste n that is identical in every respect. Even the color, that is dated 1942. Up for bid is a used Military issue field pack. It is a camelbak maximum gear in digital camo. It is in excellent shape except for one zipper is missing the pull and is shown on the last picture. It does also have a last name in marker written on it bud is fairly faded out now. Also included is a camelbak hydration pack in excellent condition. A first aid pack including various gauze and a combat application tourniquet and lastly an otis rifle cleaning that is mostly complete. early 1920s ANTIQUE johnson and johnson antique first aid MEDICAL KIT
In 1888 Johnson and Johnson made the first portable first aide kit for railroad workers. this large kit was made in the 1920s. It is still in the same style as the early 1888 example shown on the Johnson and Johnson web site. Johnson and Johnson invented the first"band aid" in the 1920s. The labeling Includes The Band aide name thus the date for the kit would be in the 1920s. The kit is made of metal and has 2 hooks for hanging on the wall. It was probably used in a company/ industrial setting. It is in excellent condition for its age. I found ONLY one on the web that was sold previously on an antique site. This is is a rare and exciting find! The wall model is fully portable with a handle and interesting latches to close the lid. the lid opens to form a shelf or workspace. The out side measurements are 16 inches across x 11 inches ... morehigh and a little over 6.5 inches thick. Inside is one large drawer with gold painted labels on black metal. It reads = specify J&J products and a list of the bandages. Splints, and adhesive plasters in that drawer. The 2nd drawer= is labeled to hold cotton, and band aids as well as safety pins, applicator and gauze. the 3rd drawer would have held 6 finger cots, 4 picric acid pads, one tube first aid for wounds. one tube carbolized petrolatum. one tourniquet, more bandages and scissors and tweezers Each drawer states SPECIFY J& J PRODUCTS. The label on the inside lid reads. This door should be kept closed.Each drawer has Nice ring and medallion drawer handles. The outside of the medical kit probably would have been black with gold lettering if it was in its original condition. At least I believe so according to the Photo on the Johnson and Johnson web site. Its a bit hard to tell since I can only find one previously sold item on the entire web and some old photos It is now painted a 1930s green. I'm not sure If the paint can be removed. Up for auction is vintage first aid kit made by Acme Cotton Co. This is in a very functional metal carrying case. Though there is rust. As is shown in pictures, the box is actually in pretty good condition, especially the inside. It opens and closes easily and there aren't any large dents. The kit still has much of its original contents. The coolest part is the First Aid Guide published by Reader's Digest that is part of the kit. It is in very good condition. The pouch has a MOLLE panel that the whole kit is velcroed to and is quickly removable. The pouch itself unfolds to reveal 4 areas that can hold gear. Left side velcro pocket. Center and right have elastic webbing and top flap has one elastic band and a velcro loop(for ET gear I assume) The entire thing folds up into a compact package(though thick if stuffed with kit) As far as manufacturer. This kit was issued to my father-in-law. Stationed at Sebring Florida during WWII. At first glance this would appear to be a standard issue first aid kit. But it actually includes a specialized application: it's a snake bite kit. The contents include a Saunders Venom Extractor. Rubber wrapping for a tourniquete, three different dressings and an exterior metal case. Inexplicably containing three heavy duty screws. The main zipper is broken. So the kit is held closed with an improvised elasticized cord(easily removed. We just kept it because it keeps the kit closed) Other than that. Here we have one vintage Girl Scout First Aid Kit. It comes with its original carrying case which is in excellent condition. It can be difficult to date these first aid kits. Because they were available for so many years. But we can date this one to 1938 through 1948. Because the carrying case is made of silver-green material. Which was used only during those years for uniforms. Badges and many other official GSUSA items. Amazingly it still has some on the original contents. You can see from the pictures that some things aren't in great condition- the burn cream tube is still in the box but it has almost completely disintegrated. The waxed paper envelope is also torn and extremely brittle. Although the gauze inside is still brand new. My favorite item is the smelling salts which are still intact. Very cool! The little box has the medical/official ... morenames: Mercuroply and Ammonia Inhalant. Three of the original four viles are still there. Found in an old upstate New York estate! This circa 1940 tin is a" Boy Scouts of America Official First Aid Kit Prepared by Johnson& Johnson. New Brunswick, N.J. Chicago, Ill. It is in green with dark green and orange lettering. The tin measures 6" by 3 3/4" by 2" deep. It is hinged on the right and has a quaint latch on the left. The tin was found with 5 original items. Included is: 1) a Red Cross 2 inches. 10 yards bandage in the original unopened box. There is a penciled name on one side. 2) a Mercurochrome box with the original mercurochrome bottle. This box has been opened. Contents appear to be dried out. 3) a Red Cross 1 inch 10 yards bandage in original unopened box. The box is torn on one side but the seal is intact. 4) Steripad in original unopened wrapper 5) J&J Picric Acid Gauze Pad for burns in original ... moreunopened envelope. There is a penciled name on the back. The tin states on the inside lid: Boy Scouts of America Official First Aid Kit Containing: Adhesive Plaster- To hold dressing of any kind in place Band-Aid- A protective covering for small wounds Gauze Bandage- For binding dressings in place and as a sling in an emergency Halazone tablets- For purifying contaminated drinking water. Hello and thank you f or viewing our listing for. Boy Scout Memorabilia This listing is for a previously owned Bauer& Black Boy Scouts of America First Aid Kit Tin and Cloth Belt Pouch. The tin for the kit is 5 1/2 inches wide. 3 1/2 inches deep, andjust over 1 1/2 inches tall. There are some minor dents and scratches on the tin. The inside cover has contents and condensed directions. There are some bandages and band-aids in the kit. We are not making any claim that the are sealed, sterile or usable. They are included for historical value only. The cloth belt pouch has some stains on it. The top of the loop looks like it had been torn off and is being held in place with a safety pin. There are a couple of other safety pins on the pouch that do not seem to be doing anything. The snap on the pouch cover works well. But with all the shows I am doing this spring/summer I am not meeting this goal. I have managed to qualify as an Ebayer Top Seller again though, and will continue to provide next business day shipping, even while out of town at shows. This sale is for a great old US Military First Aid kit box. Complete with some contents. It was purchased from the Grandson at a local moving sale. He indicated that he had thrown away any items that were opened, wish he wouldn't of, but there were several items left, and pictured. I am glad that he left the metal tape spool in the ... morebox. Military green and it reads, Manufactured October 1953 The Bay Division Parker Davis& Co. Bridgeport Conn. see picts. The date on this tape container helps to date the box. The heavy metal box looks military and I believe that you can see some of the original green paint. Before it was spray painted white, see picts. Each side of the box is clearly marked, First Aid" see picts. The heavy metal box closes tight and I had a difficult time opening it. And now can't figure out how to'lock' the lid, but it will be packed well and mailed safely to the new owner. Also included in the box are: 2 Stock No. 2-011-755 Bandage. Muslin, Triangular, Compressed, Camouflaged, 37 by 37 by 52 inches. Qty:1 There are two of these boxes, one is closed and the other has been partially opened, see picts.
