We are pleased to offer this beautiful. Antique(old, not reproduction) pair of window frames with wrought iron insert. This gorgeous architectural piece was salvaged from an old church is Southwest Missouri. They are quite unique with a painted tortoise shell or marbled finish. One of the windows has been white washed over this finish. The colors are whte, cream, tan, black and a burnt orange. The wrought iron inserts are also ornate with intricate scroll work and a center, round medallion. The wrought iron is attached to the back of the frames with screws. The windows are in good antique condition. It does have chipped paint and the iron has an aged and rusted patina. The wood is old but still intact. The door has a solid pine core covered with 1/16" thick, birch veneers, and has an impressive arrangement of 15, true-divided, beveled glass lites. When most people hear"pine" they think of a cheap. Weak, and soft wood. New pine hewn from 10- 20 year old trees doesn't have the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities that old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old has. Old pine is also much harder and stronger than young pine. Also. Please don't think that"veneer" means inferior quality. Unlike the paper-thin veneers used on modern doors and furniture. These veneers are 1/16" thick and provide ... morestrength and stability to the door. Hardware: The door is not equipped with any hardware. However. We have a good selection of period hardware to outfit the door(check out our eBay store) If you would like any of the hardware holes patched with a solid block of wood. Please email us for a quote. Condition: About half of the upper rail and half of the lock stile on the exterior side is missing veneer. There are also a couple of other spots where the veneer is loose or missing(see photos) The loose veneer is easy to re-secure. And filling in the empty spots with filler or any veneer would be simple and inexpensive. However, that would make the door only suitable to repaint. If you would like to refinish the door, filling in the empty spots with veneer that would match the existing, surrounding veneer will be more challenging, and more costly. Vintage wood windows/doors, Lot 4, 1" & 3/4" thick, 25/28" x 45/47",1901, 2 Pair
Offered is a lot of 4 window frames. Or two matching pairs. Windows came from a home built in 1901. Pick up only- Seattle area near Space Needle or can deliver for mileage fee of $50.00 within 25 mile radius of Space Needle. Ferry tolls additional if needed. Payment required prior to pick up or delivery. One pair of the window frames are 3/4 inch thick and each frame has two panels of glass. All sections of glass in both panels is old wavy glass and the glass appears perfect with no cracks nor starts of them in any of the 4 panels. Few areas could use update on putty. This 3/4 inch thick pair is 47 1/8 inches tall by 25 1/8 inches wide. The glass area-top sections are 18 by 20 3/4 inch approx. and the lower sections are 22 by 20 3/4 inch approx. Original latches(matching) on both frames and hinge portions. The other similar but not identical ... moreone pair is 1 inch thick and one frame is missing its glass. Both frames measure 28 3/4 inch wide by 45 1/4 inch tall by 1 inch thick frame. The glass area is approx. 24 inches by 40 inches. Identical original latches and portions of the hinges are on the frames. The frame with the original wavy glass. Needs putty and I have secured the getting loose glass into the frame to avoid breakage with a nail& cardboard you will see in the photo. There are no cracks, nor starts of them, evident on the glass in this panel. The frame with the missing glass has a matching latch, is same size, and is included because of this and maybe useful. One area of the wood frame wiggles abit and may need reinforcements. All windows have been stored indoors and in a dry environment for many years. I see no rot or wood deterioration. This is a one-of-a-kind. Beautiful, Victor Coral" No. 16, cast-iron wood burning stove.It has around 90 windows on the front and sides to give you a great view of the burning wood. It has the 7" oval to 6" round adapter and one piece of stove pipe and is ready to be hooked up. You will not find another stove of this quality and price! The stove is about 66" H, 23" D, and 28" W. The grates are in great shape and it has a place on the back to hold a pot of coffee so there is always a hot cup of coffee available. These are about 40" x 19" They were removed from a local house here in central Kansas about 20 years ago. The house was built in the 1920-1930 era. These were original to the house. Some were made this way, some age made this way. The lead and glass are not damaged. No broken glass and they are tight. The frames are straight and true. The frames are made for window weights. Because of that and because of separating of trim, etc. it is a little hard to get measurements. They are basically-front(with trim) 28" x 29" back(basic window) 25" x 25-3/4's. Window wood is in excellent shape(no rotting, etc. Trim is a little less so; but it is in good shape, considering age. This is an uncommon slide rule made by John Davis& Son of Derby with two windows in the back surface and a scale at the bottom of the gutter marked in millimetres. There is a mass of data on the card on the back and I hope you can see enough about this and the slide rule scales. But please ask if you need any more information. The cursor is undamaged and looks original and there is no damage to the slide rule except a tiny bit of card loss on the back top left corner as shown.
