This vintage Japanese"duck beak" metal toolers hammer. With one wide hammer end and a flowing"duck bill" blade at the opposite. This is one of the more interesting hammers I have found while buying in Japan's auctions and flea markets. It is forged from the best quality tool steel and tempered for a lifetime of use. Made over 80 years ago by a Japanese master craftsman with a shortened japanese red oak handle for more precise work. It shows minor signs of use: slight oxidation on the iron head and a warm aged patina on the Japanese red oak handle but is overall in very fine condition. There is no play on the handle. Vintage VOIT black rubber oval scuba mask w/purge tempered glass 88-457 Seahunt
An old vintage VOIT oval black rubber scuba mask from the 1960's. It reminds me of Lloyd Bridges on the old TV series"Seahunt" The glass says"Tempered 88-457" and the purge is built in to the glass. The purge has a patent number on it of 3059637 which was issued in 1962 for a"Non return valve for swim mask" I have not dove with it but it seals to my face and the purge allows air to go out but not come in. The rubber is in exceptionally good shape for as old as it is. Even the strap shows no weather checking and stretches very well. There is a little green oxidation on the stainless steel strap rings. Before you start reading. You are basically getting one mask in good shape(pictures 2-6) and one in okayish shape(pictures 7-11) The glass and rubber around the masks are in great shape. The rubber strap on one is deteriorating some around the adjustment area. The other rubber strap is in fairly decent shape. The silver adjustment tool on one is corroding some. But still intact.
