Goofus Glass Brooch Hand Painted Basket of Flowers Safety Hook
This item is a late Victorian era Brooch that has a Beaded border surrounding an Oval Clear Venetian(I've also seen this called Goofus Glass) Glass that show what looks to be a material of very thin celluloid embossed with a Basket of flowers and the outside ends shows a display of dark red Roses and leaves. All this is hand painted. The metal surrounding glass looks to be made of silver plated brass. The overall measurement is 1.3.75 x 1.125 inches. The back has an early safety hook. My best guess is late teens. Early 20's production. It is definitely an eye catcher. You wont be disappointed. Up for grabs here we have this sweet vintage bracelet with light clear/blue art glass and silver tone beads. Has a safety clasp. Feels heavy and well-made.
