This is a lovely antique brooch. Don't know the exact age. But I think it's probably Civil War era. It's not marked sterling since it's too old for that to be required. I am positive it's sterling or coin silver. This is a little over 1 1/4" across. The hinge is the barrel style; the clasp is a fat c. It works fine. There's a light dent in one of the points. I didn't polish it as it has a nice patina.

I feel this bangle is in Super Condition when it comes to the wear factor! Most of the bangle I have had from this Era have shown a lot more wear. The hinge& closure is in very good working order. The bangle closes shut tightly! There is no real gaps to speak of on either sides of the bangle where the hinge is or the opening. The bangle measures from the inside 2 1/16 inches from the front of the bracelet to the back of the bangle& measures 2 9/16 from the inside of the bangle from hinge to opening. The ... morefront of the bangle is 15/16 of an inch at its widest point& slightly over 3/8 of an inch at its widest point on the back. The stone is more than likely a Faux Amethyst that is bezel set. Open backed, faceted& an unfoiled stone. There are tinnie, tiny flea bites along the facet of the stone. Nothing you notice unless looping or looking very closely at the stone. This is normal age wear for a stone. I see No Cracks, Chips or Deep Scratches. There might be faint surface scratching I haven't detected. After posting Photo's you can use the zoom to see every single imprefection that is on this bangle. It makes it look a lot worse than it is while just examining it by had& 10 power loop. Recently rescued from an Estate Auction Recently rescued from an Estate Auction When it hits ROCK BOTTOM. I rescue. DESCRIPTION#667: Here is a wonderful LARGE. Old time COWBOY CAMP FIRE COFFEE POT. On the bottom it is stamped No. 33, Wear-Ever Aluminum, T.A.C.U. Co. Complete with a HINGED LID and BIG GENEROUS SPOUT, this great looking coffee pot is functional but also a great decorating or display piece. The pot is solid, no holes, of course there are lots of surface scratches that give it character, but no big dents or big dings. Only one that needs mentioning is on the tilt back hinged lid, there is a small narrow line size ding near the hinge. This old guy still has plenty of life left in him and he looks pretty darn good too. The black wooden handle has been in some"hot" situations because the very bottom knob is charred off. ... moreHandle on pot is very wobbly, needs tightened. This is the original handle and the original fastening hardware, see photos. This pot is large and it looks as if there may have been graduated lines on the side. But you can no longer make them out. I would say this coffee pot holds at least 3/4 of a gallon. Top of coffee pot has the original black wooden knob and attachment, is tilts back with the help of a secure sturdy hinge. Inside is no less clean than the outside, a little discoloration, but still looks fine. Spout is generous, diffuser holes in the pot leading to spout. Diebold, Mosler, Yale, York, Antique Safe Hinge Finials (Set of 4)
Up for auction today. Are these reproduction cast bronze, bright nickel plated, antique safe hinge finials. WOW do they look great on the safe. Finials are a 5/8-11 thread. I had to tap the hinge holes in my safe to except this thread. I used a 5/8-11 tap and a small crescent wrench to do this. With a little oil and a little care to make sure the tap stayed straight. There was no problem. The base of the finial were it seats on the hinge is 1& 3/16 across. The thread in the finials ended up a little off center so they look a little wobbly going on.
