Here is a beautiful Silverplate Tray with 3 Glass Inserts and 3 Forks The forks are embossed with'Silver Plated Sheffield England' on the backs and the tray is simply embossed'Silver Plated' on the back of one of the feet. Tray measures 17" including the handles. 13 1/4" without the handles, 9 1/2" wide and has 4 short little feet on the bottom. The 3 glass inserts measure 7 1/2" long. 3 3/4" wide and 1" tall. The forks are 5" long and about 1" across at their widest. The set is in excellent condition but could probably use a little polishing. The glass inserts have no chips or cracks. Offered are these two glass fruit jar inserts or lids. Both are marked Ball Bros Glass Mf.g Co. Buffalo NY. I'd say one is in good condition and the other I rate as fair. The one shown in picture with pencil has just one tiny chip that on the top outer edge hard to see but pencil is pointing to it. The other has numerous chips around the outer outside and upper edges. Either one would look good installed on BBG jar as any damage would be covered by band. One good and one decent hard to find BBG jar lid that would improve any jar missing the lid. The Adlake Non-Sweating Lamp Railroad 4 way w/ glass inserts very clean
The best way to evaluate the condition. The size, etc. is to look at the pictures, but I will give a good description when necessary. This railroad lamp started out to be a very clean. Excellent condition lamp. The previous owner made it look even better by painting the shields. It looks so good. The body of the lamp looks like original black paint, but I'm unsure. Nevertheless, it is very clean, other than the dust. It will look great in your train room. The only issue is. There is no original burner. It never came with the burner. This is the way I received this lamp. It is so nice that you would not want to burn nasty fuel in this lamp. It is pretty the way it is. Please look at the picture of the inside of this lamp. It looks unused. When do you see them. This clean? You can see the overspray on the orangeish color paint on the back ... moreof the shield. For all I know. Sterling Silver Manufacturing Company SSMC Saart Sherbet Compotes Glass Inserts
12 Wonderful Sterling Silver Compotes/ Sherbets/ Parfait- with Glass Inserts and Holders- SSMS Sterling Silver Manufacturing Coo. Saart Company Today we are offering this set of rare Sterling Silver sherbets/ compotes with glass inserts and serving bowls. It is rare to find the pieces with both the glass inserts and with the glass serving bowls(which are actually the individual serving bowls which fit into the insert and protect them from the use of the metal utensil) The sterling silver is very elegant with both embossing on the foot and with the cut out design going around the upper section. The glass inserts are"etched" with a design that goes around the exterior of the piece. The"serving bowls" are made of thicker glass and have a ground flat pontil which is polished. The weight of the Sterling is right at 23 grams ... moreper piece. 12(pieces) x 23(grams) = 276 grams x.925(percentage of silver in Sterling) = 255.3 grams(pure silver) There are 4 compotes that are in very good condition(being complete- with the silver in perfect or near perfect condition- the glass insert having no damage- and the serving bowl having no damage) Eight of the others have some issues. But as to each of these eight. The silver is really in nice condition- with no pitting or dings worth commenting on. Four of these eight have flea bites on the rim of the inserts- That is their only issue. Two of these eight have multiple flea bites on the rim of the inserts- That is their only issue. Two of these eight have no glass insert. But they do have a"serving bowl" which is not damaged at all. Further- There is one extra"serving bowl" which will go with the lot. These would make a nice addition to any Sterling silver Manufacturing co. collection. This is a very serviceable set. They do need to be washed prior to use- They are straight out of a local estate. Both sticks have some chipping on the interior sharp edges inside the bases. There are no other chips or cracks. Drexel Heritage Ming Treasures Long Sofa / Console Table with Glass Inserts
This is a long sofa table or console table made by Drexel Heritage as part of their Ming Treasures collection. It is 60" long. 28" high, and 18" deep with cut outs in design, 2 removable glass inserts on top, and claw feet. Originally purchased late 80s- early 90s. It is in very good condition. 10 Sterling Silver Sherry Glasses w/ Cambridge Glass Inserts Wildflower Pattern
10 Sterling Silver Sherry goblets with Cambridge Etched Glass inserts. Each reticulated cup is marked Sterling on the bottom with the makers mark of the Sheffield Silver Company from Ohio. These date to the late 1940's and are marked with the patent numbers for this unusual combination of glass and silver. The weight of the silver in these 10 cups(without the glass) is 670 grams. The goblets are not weighted. The glass inserts are Cambridge Glass in the Wildflower pattern. In two of the glasses the pattern is on the entire glass. The others have the pattern on the top half. I guess someone decided it wasn't necessary to etch the glass where you would not see it? The glass has an egg shaped pattern that snap snugly into the silver. The cups hold 4 ounces and stand 5.5 inches tall and measure 2.5 inches across the rim. There is a slight ... morerim chip to one of the glasses that is shown in the last pic. But for this one small chip, these cups are in immaculate condition!
