George V and Queen Mary Commemorative Silver Jubilee teapot. Made in England by Redman in pure aluminium. As stamped on the base, with a Bakelite handle and lid knob. The teapot has been used but is remarkably undamaged given its age. There is some scratching to the base commensurate with age and use and a light stain to the lid. There is a dark mark under the handle as shown in the photo, which may be a burn but is quite superficial and doesn't affect the strength. It holds approximately 4 cups. Two reclaimed aluminium opening portholes. 14 1/2" wide X 7 1/2" deep.
Cast aluminium. Outside =14 1/2" wide X7 1/2" deep, aperture size 11.9" X 5" Glass 11.6" X 4.5" Some oxidisation on the interior flange but otherwise in fully functional condition. The open cockpit on our barge is now an enclosed wheelhouse so robust opening portholes are no longer necessary. They've been removed and replaced with 1/2' thick perspex windows. These aluminium units cost so much to buy new it makes a good condition used item a real option. Would complement any vessel. Glass can be simply replaced by removal of six fixings.
