What we have here is a pre-owned Ortega nacho cheese dispenser-warmer model Sierra, serial number MI 031317, Watts 200, 120V, 60 Hz, it is in good working condition and in good shape, it just has some light scratches and scuffs from normal use, all the plastic looks to be break free, the very bottom of the unit has a light small crack in it, you can see it in the last picture it isn't anything major and doesn't affect it's working condition at all, it doesn't go through the plastic very deep,it has a good cord no knicks, the button is in good working condition, the temperature gauge on the side is in good shape and good working condition, the inside of the unit has some staining from normal use, it has a tray for the cheese that slides out, this is a nice machine and would be great in a restaurant or in a concession ... morestand. This model has the hot fudge panel on the side opposite the spout and controls are on the spout side(see photos) Has a variable thermostat and it does work. Pump is in working condition. Both were tested prior to listing. Unit overall appearance is good. No dents or major scratches. Persons not familiar with the unit need to know that the pump will not operate correctly if assembled wrong. Star Manufacturing Ortega Chili and Nacho Cheese Dispenser. Used This item is in good working condition and ready to go to work for you. Please scroll down through 16 pictures; text between some pictures. This dispenser is in great shape and the heater. Fan and motors work properly. The pictures were taken in a mixed bag of sun and shade. But all the surfaces look great and are dent free. The colors and metal surface are accurately reflected in the close-up pics just above and below. The round switch shown above works like this. When the hinged door is closed. The fan and heater will come on. When the hinged door is open it turns them off for you to change the bags of ingredients when they are empty. In the picture above it almost looks like the illustration is glass lighted from behind. But it's a vinyl on the stainless steel and just ... morewell-lighted by full sunlight. Only one of the graphics has any damage. That is on the right top corner of the front graphic. The hinged top shown above and just below allows you to put in four bags of chili or cheese. Two are for dispensing and two are for pre-warming. The chain above keeps the top from flipping to far backwards. There is also a flip-up bar that supports the lid and that leaves both hands free for loading the bags of ingredients. This unit has a“Peristaltic” manner of moving the ingredients onto the snacks. It is not actually a pump as such and therefore there is no pump to clean or wear out. Peristaltic” means…The wavelike or muscular contractions of a tubular structure by which contents are forced onward toward an opening. The tubes from the two dispensing pouches come down and the individual motors put the ingredients down onto chips or whatever. Gravity and the peristaltic process move the goodies through the tubes. I turned on the heater and it went from 100 degrees(the outside temperature in the sun when I took the pictures) to 150 degrees in about 15 minutes. see 2 pics above/below of temp guage) There is no temperature adjustment on this machine.

Ortega Nacho Hot Cheese Dispenser Machine works great ready to use One Owner
This machine works great and is ready to use. It has some signs of use but it is very clean. Passed our health department inspection with flying colors. New these cost over 500 dollars. It heats up great. And has a thermometer on the side to let you know the heat temperature. Comes with the extra tray to keep a spare bag of cheese preheated and ready to use. Also comes with a cheese bag opener. Handy to have, as some of the bags are very hard to open without an opener like this. We have used Ortega cheese and a few other brands of bagged cheese with equal success. With this particular machine you hold the button down only as long as you want the cheese to dispense. So use no more or less cheese than you need for any particular food item. We used it with different sizes of nacho serving trays, and also with walking tacos in different size ... morebags. I have retired and will no longer use it.
