I think some people repurpose these for lamps ... moreor bird cages and it would be very unique for either one. The old cast iron base has embossing on each leg. They are embossed with Hall Borchert Dress Form Co. New York, and Chicago. The paw feet sit on top of small casters for rolling the form around. There is an old cast iron pedal that is in working condition and is used to release the lock for raising and lowering the stand. The iron pole at it's lowest point is 40 inches from the floor to the tip. When raised to its maximum height it is 65.5 inches from the floor. The cast iron base of the stand measures about 18 inches from the tip of one foot to the tip of the opposite foot, just to give you an idea of the size. It is in normal used condition with rubs, and some surface rust that can be cleaned. I tried to get pictures of the casters to give you an idea of the condition too. Please let me know if you have any questions. This is a truly great old stand. Be sure to calculate shipping since the form itself weighs about 12 pounds and will be in an oversized box. Great older male torso mannequin. Very sturdy. Base made of cast iron, and very easy to adjust with large metal"key" located under the cloth covered torso. Can be adjusted- range of 20" top of neck can be 50 to 70" from the floor. In excellent condition. Cloth covering clean without stains, holes or rips. Does have a small irregularity on the right lower edge, shown in the last photo.
