Vintage Canvas Mannequin or Wig Hat Millinery Form size 22 Steampunk Vtg
Vintage head form can be used for wig or hat making. The canvas head is a size 22 as shown by the stamp on the bottom. The canvas shows that this piece definitely has a history. There are marks from perhaps a hat maker's pen and some general stains from use. The bottom is celluloid or bakelite and has some cracks(see photo) but the entire head is VERY solid and structurally very sound. Just goes to show the workmanship of yesteryear that we don't often see in modern products. The head is almost 10" tall and about 7" at its widest. It measures about 10 1/2" tall and about 21 3/4" around at the widest point. There is a number on the back that looks like a 22 plus maybe a fraction, but I can't make out that part. It has felt eyes and mouth on it, and one corner on each is coming up slighty. I uploaded close up pics of this, but I think they could easily be glued back down.

The fabric slightly stretched in some places, but the cork is very solid and the mannequin is totally functional. Vintage Mannequin head form is made of a tan colored type canvas with a hard plastic end cap base that has a 1" hole for mounting. Head measures 10 1/2" tall x 22" around head and is 14" around base. On the bottom of head is a sticker marked size 22. The canvas has some water staining and the plastic base has a crack in it as shown in pictures.
