Stenograph 1950's STANDARD STENOGRAPH MACHINE This was my mom's during high school in 1954. She only used it for class one year. Never out in the working world. Machine: in mint shape with no wear marks seen. Even the metal cover over the ink cartridge has no scratches. All keys work. The ink ribbon is dry but the keys make impressions on the paper. Exact year of manufacture unknown, but is marked"102967" on the bottom, and as noted, it was bought new in 1954. Case: in excellent sturdy shape. With some rub wear top, bottom and corners. However, there's an ink spill in the back right inside corners(mostly bottom, some top) It happened from an ink bottle stored there that leaked. The leak is not from the machine, nor did it get into the machine, as there is NO INK on the inside or outside of the machine, anywhere. The ... morestain inside is still sticky, I tried cleaning it up and wound up leaving some paper towel bits on it(oops! Hopefully you can do better, or just glue a square of paper over the area. Extremely rare 1925 Chinese advertising poster. Guaranteed genuine. The poster was distributed by Esso Standard Oil Company known in China in the'30s as SONONY. Essco was one of the largest oil companies operated in China before the war. The poster features one of the most famous scenic spot Quilin in China complete with mansions. Elaborate bridge, pine trees and people. All wonderfully painted in vivid colours. In fact the colour is so fresh it was as if it was printed recently. A poem dedicated to the scenery and artist's name and seal on the right. Another signature on the lower left bottom and Esso's red seal on the right bottom of the painting. There is a 1925 colander in Chinese on the bottom. Above that is advertising slogan: World Famous Esso Products' Esso's logo in the middle. The metal rod on top and on the ... morebottom and the cloth loop for hanging are all intact. There are some tear on the top and small tears on the sides. The main picture is not affected. The poster was printed by stone printing or lithograph. The quality is excellent as you can see clearly the printer's name in Chinese and English on the very bottom. These posters were given away as decorations for homes. They were printed every new year in the early 1900s. They were not items for keepsake so many didn't survive.
