Welcome to Antiques& Moore! This listing is for a nice Rookwood Art Pottery Standard Glaze vase signed by Laura E. Lindeman. C. 1906. Standing 7 1/4" high and 3 1/4" in diameter. Decorated by Laura E. Lindeman. This small vase has a beautiful dark red"poppy" floral design with green foliage on a dark brown ground. The vase is marked with the incised Rookwood Pottery trademark"flame" stamp with"VII" below which dates the piece to 1906 and number"952E" and artist initials"LEL" This vase has a lovely appearance and would be a great cabinet piece. There are no chips. However, there is a small tight hairline at the mouth of the vase extending about 1" barely visible on the outside but visible on the interior. Other than this, the vase is beautiful with no other flaws than normal ... morelight crazing. The Rookwood Pottery Company was founded by Maria Longworth Nichols in 1880 and won numerous prestigious awards with their early pottery. However. Over the years she became less involved with the company and in 1890 the Rookwood Pottery Company was reorganized with William Taylor becomming President. Rookwood is considered the premier name in American Art Pottery and even the more common pieces of the production ware period are collected for their elegant beauty. The Depression was difficult for the Rookwood factory although they continued to operate until 1967 when the factory was finally forced to close. 2009 Gibson Les Paul Standard Lefty Electric Guitar in case. This guitar is in very nice condition. It does not appear to have been played much if it has been played at all. No belt or buckle marks. There are no scratches on the body. There is a tiny ding- it is hard to spot. It is about the size of the tip of a sharpened pencil. I can't get it to show up in a photo. It is on the front just off the lower right corner of the top pick up. The only marks I can find on the head are 2 places on the back bottom of the head. There are 3 small chips to the finish. 2 on one side close together and 1 on the other. See close up photos. Comes in the original Gibson USA case. Marked with Serial number.
