An ultra rare Transistor Radio. Standard 6 Made in the Republic of Ireland. It is written on both the radio and the leather case. Recieves MW and LW The leather case has a storage strip for the aerial which is there and in very good condition. It screws into the radio. I can only find an example of Standard 7 and that was made by Waltham. It is similar to this one. That one is on RadioMuseum.org and was made by Waltham which is why I am guessing this one is also. Nice condition. Would clean up well but I don't want to do any damage so I have left that for the successful buyer. It works. I tuned in a channel, there is not much broadcast on MW or LW in Ireland. For sale is a most rare Bolex M8 Standard 8mm Historical Film Projector 1949- first production months serial 310270 This is the 270th unit ever produced in early 1949 by Bolex is Switzerland. Making it one of the earliest M8 projectors available. The projector shows normal signs of use for its age. It is clean, I've tested it with a specially built cable that I will include in the auction. The lamp and motor appear to working well. I do not have any 8mm film to test it with. It will most likely need some adjusting and internal cleaning after all of this time, unfortunately for me I'm not an expert so selling it as it is with no returns. The lamp appears to heat up big time, so I would suggest you should be careful when you run film through the unit for the first time in order not to accidentally burn or damage it, but you will probably ... moreknow this better than me: The lens is intact, but could surely use some internal cleaning and then it would be perfect. As I was saying I do not have any 8mm film. So I'm letting someone else enjoy this great piece of history, do not miss it, for me, it's a once in a lifetime opportunity!
