EPHRAIM’s girlfriend is ditching him cause she’s"got a new beau dat wears STANDARD BOOTS" while Ephraim looks like a bum. His clothes are all disheveled and his shoes are falling apart while the girlfriend’s new dude is all gussied up, wearing brand new"STANDARD BOOTS! Poor Ephraim! The reverse is very ornate& detailed with nice advertising, plus it pictures 18 full calendar months from July, 1882 to December, 1883. The trade card is in beautiful condition. This is a ONE-day sale. All reasonable offers will be considered! Up for sale here is a Martin Handcraft Standard Bb Trumpet. Serial#109xxx. Bore- 1" 0.445) All valves& slides move freely- this horn is ready to play! I purchased this horn about 9 months ago and had it professionally cleaned and replaced all springs. Corks& felts. I also had one dent removed from the bell flare. This Horn features a reverse leadpipe- this must be one of the earliest examples of such a design. The horn also has all brass slides& trim. Unlike its cousin the"Imperial" which has nickel slides& trim. There is a patch on the leadpipe about midway between the mpc receiver and the 1st valve. There is some plating wear but it is limited primarily to the leadpipe. The waterkey has clearly been resoldered(somewhat poorly) as evidenced by ... morethe wear& solder spots around it. I believe the brace on the tuning slide is an aftermarket addition as I cannot find any photos of another"Standard" with this style of bracing. Again. This is a must-sell!
