Eico 324 Signal Generator in Excellent Calibrated Condition Guaranteed
Eico 324 Signal Generator in Excellent Calibrated Condition This Eico signal generator is in excellent condition. It has been completely checked out and the Eico calibration procedure performed. This generator works very well and puts out a stable modulated signal from the AM broadcast band up to 22 MHZ which was the highest frequency I could personally check with my SW receiver. I was able to check the frequency output up to 70 MHZ with my bench counter and it worked perfectly to that range. The generator is very accurate and I have included a few pictures showing its output into an HP counter. The internal 400 HZ modulation works perfectly. All chassis components have been checked out and the tubes were checked and found to be strong. Most of the old paper capacitors have been replaced with new equivalent components. Out of tolerance resistors ... morehave been replaced. All controls operate perfectly and all pots and switches have been cleaned with contact cleaner. The Eico calibration procedure has been performed and this unit is very accurate. The attenuation controls work properly and provide an infinite range of output attenuation. As you can see in the pictures this 324 is in excellent cosmetic condition and looks and works very well. The case has one very minor dent that cannot be seen in the pictures mentioned only for descriptive accuracy. There are no serious scratches. Rust, paint loss or other signs of abuse. There are no names, numbers, or other previous user added etched or painted symbols. The knobs and case are in excellent condition as is the handle. The power cord has been replaced with a newer and safer industrial type cord. The internal components and chassis look very good and the construction is excellent. This appears to be a factory assembled unit which is usually a better more consistent construction than some of the home built units out there. This unit comes with two important modifications. The first. Is the RF output has been converted to a BNC connector(from the old hard-to-find button connector) enabling the use of modern test leads. PRECISION Signal Generator Model Series# E-200) Hello! and thank you for looking at my item. Up for bids is a used test meter manufactured by Precision Apparatus Co in 1940. The unit has not been fully tested but was given a detailed inspection. The unit has some paint spots on top and some minor surface rust. The handle on top is missing. It was probably a leather handle that dry rotted. The unit was plugged in and it did power up. The plug has a small chip missing. It does not interfere with the operation of the unit. On the front of the unit are 2 plastic dial indicators on top of the main dial. The bottom plastic indicator has melted and somewhat warped and has lost its shape. All of the buttons and knobs are present. Turns smoothly and lines up properly with the required setting. This unit contains tubes. All 3 tubes were removed and ... morereplaced for testing(1ea 6SJ7-strong, 1ea 6C5-strong and 1ea 80-strong) The original 6SJ7 tested weak. I replaced it with a strong 6SJ7. All of the tubes are strong. The unit appears to be in good shape. There are no burn marks or smells emitting from the unit. No operators manuals or test leads. They are missing. A vintage Zenith SPTE-3 Television Sweep Alignment Signal/Marker generator for TV-IF amplifier alignment. Signal tracing, and UHF tuner alignment, that has been modified for C-band, 3700- 4200 Mhz. It powers ON, tubes light up, voltages seem normal. I am not able to check beyond that. Some controls have been changed, labels added for the new purpose. You can see that a microwave down converter has been added, Satellite Technology Services DC-B, with the 3700 to 4200 Mhz output coming from a cable out of the front. A jack has been added where the centering control used to be to input 950-1450 Mhz. New crystals have been installed for markers. I bought it, thinking I could use it for alignment on a UHF TV transmitter. Didn't work out.
