Antique Triplett 1231 Signal Generator This is a very early Triplett 1231 signal generator. I'm thinking it is from the 1930's The wrinkle finish on the case is excellent. But the front panel shows some age. It's super clean inside. Also, it has it's original cloth line cord. functional, but should be replaced as it's over 80 years old. I carefully powered it up on a Variac and was able to hear heterodynes as I tuned the generator and listened on a broadcast band radio. This is yet another restoration I planned to do. The instrument was recently serviced, and the old obsolete Amphenol output connectors were replaced with BNC type that will be much more compatable with today’s cables and adapters. Components inside are looking fine with no signs of swelling or discoloration, and the generator has been recently tested. Generator will prove to be a valuable instrument to have when aligning radios, etc where you can switch in the on-board modulation circuit or externally modulate a signal on top of the RF signal. RF signal is adjustable from 150 KHz all the way up to 220 MHz in five adjustable steps on the band selector. ... moreSmoothly geared tuning condenser has great stability, and the dial index mark accurately points to the proper frequency calibrations. Photos of the electronics will show that this unit has a neat layout on a copper plated chassis, and interior is quite clean without corrosion. The unit has been tested, and the signals are present at all frequencies. The audio test signal is working as well with a very clean sine wave output. Modulation circuit works as well, and it was interesting to have a radio nearby to listen to the beat note and whistling as the IF and RF frequencies were being matched. Cosmetics are superb overall with only a few faint scratches on the gray textured wrinkle finish. And in one of the many pictures that I took. You can see it operating at 10 Mhz on my Tektronix 465B Oscilloscope. Harmon Electronics Railroad Signal Code Generator Relay
For auction is this used Harmon Electronics Code Generator. The generator looks to be in good condition. Other than some of the paint has chipped off. The two circuit boards on the inside look in good condition as well. I hooked this up to a Craig Rail Charger and a Code Relay just to see what it does. At 12VDC it ran the Code Rely but at a slow rate(about 1 pulse per second) Since I do not have any instructions for this item I do not know what the input or output voltages of this should be. I cannot find anything about this item on the internet either. With that said, I know it works, but that's about all I can tell you. This would be a neat item for someone who likes tinkering with this kind of stuff. This is being sold as is. Since I don't know much about it. Heathkit RF-1 IG-102 Signal Generator in Excellent Calibrated Condition
Heathkit RF-1 Signal Generator in Excellent Calibrated Condition(The RF-1 is the same as the Heathkit IG-102 with a different color front panel. Internal construction and operating specs are identical. This Heathkit signal generator is in excellent condition. It has been completely checked out and the Heathkit calibration procedure performed. This generator works very well and puts out a stable modulated signal from the AM broadcast band up to 22 MHZ which was the highest frequency I could check with my SW receiver. I was able to check the frequency output up to about 70 MHZ with my bench counter and it worked very well to that range. The generator is very accurate and I have included a few pictures showing its output into an HP counter. The internal 400 HZ modulation works very well. All chassis components have been checked out and the tubes ... morewere checked and found to be strong. The old filter capacitors have been replaced with new equivalent components. Out of tolerance resistors have been replaced. All controls operate perfectly and all pots and switches have been cleaned with contact cleaner. The Heathkit calibration procedure has been performed and this unit is very accurate. The attenuation controls work properly and provide an infinite range of output attenuation. As you can see in the pictures this RF-1 is in excellent cosmetic condition and looks and works very well. The case is in exceptional condition. There are no scratches. Rust, paint loss or other signs of abuse. There are no names, numbers, or other previous user added etched or painted symbols. see pictures) The knobs and handle are in excellent condition. The power cord Is in very good condition. The internal components and chassis look very good and the construction is excellent. This is likely a factory assembled unit which is usually a better more consistent construction than some of the home built units out there. Stamped on the top of the over flap of the bag: BG- 175 Although not specifically marked this bag was utilized to carry the following: Hand Crank Generator GN-58 for the Military Radio Set AN/GRC-9. This bag retains the following intact and original components: Heavy re-enforced(weathered) OD canvas throughout. Sewn attached over flap with two(2) attached snap fasteners. One fastener is stamped: LIFT THE DOT" The main body has one fastener keeper with the other ONE MISSING. The main heavy canvas"lift carry" strap is sewn attached across the bottom with sewn loops on each side. Slip metal buckles are attached to each end of the under strap. Looped through each buckle is a double cloth canvas carry lift strap. The sides ... moreare double stitched for re-enforcement. Generally the bag measures: Length: 12-14" Width: 8-10" Depth: 7-8" Condition is generally good to very good used. Wear from field use and general exterior light fading is present.
