This is a great scope for audio and radio work or for some one who is new to electronics. It's compact size and easy use also make it attractive for any Ham or repairman's work bench. I have restored the high voltage section which provides a clear sharp trace on the CRT with no burn in. I replaced the sweep oscillator tube(12AX7) so you can lock in on any signal spot on. I also added a BNC connector for use with modern day probes if you wish to use them. The scope comes with one probe and a copy of the manual on CD. Here's a nice 475A dual channel 250 MHz scope in excellent cosmetic and operational condition It has a nice bright. Sharp trace, and both channels work fine. All of the sweep and trigger functions(variable delay. Intensified, delayed etc. The 475A has a sharper trace than the 475. These have a channel two vertical output which can be used to cascade the vertical ampps for greater sensitivity(reduced BW) and for connecting a frequency counter. This is very handy. I made a CD Rom recovery disk.Installed OS, cleaned out the dust and re-calibrate the instrument as the batteries had failed erasing everything. The only flaw is I had to mount the laptop drive with cable ties! The drive weighs only 6 ounces so it is very secure but I do suggest once you receive the scope you remove the cover first to verify it hasn't moved before plugging it in. Update I just purchased a HP 1160A probe 500 MHZ probe Sunday October 5th I added three new pictures. One is the self-test. The warning about the actuators is actually an error due to battery failure(see above) The actuator count can be reset. The next picture the calibration screen showing everything OK and the final test shows the sine wave response to a 100MHZ input. Everything is normal.
