I am selling for a friend. He wrote the following description. Here is a very nice IFR 1200A service monitor with options 1. 4&10* DTMF only, No DVM The dead battery has been removed. But you will get the battery case and"pigtail" to repopulate the case if you need a battery. The CRT display is showing Audio modulation from WWV at 10Mhz The 10MHz timebase has been aligned using Satellite GPS receiver 10 MHz locked to the satellite as a reference. Notice in the 1st photo the error meter shows 0 error receiving WWV at 10Mhz I used the flash feature of my camera to eliminate the shadows on the error meter so you can see that wwv was right on. 0 error. The flash washed out the the florescent display showing the frequency. But looking at the DTMF photo, you can see the the florescent display is nice and bright. You are bidding on a very clean IFR FM/AM-1500. I suspect that this CSM only saw bench use as it is in exceptionally clean condition. It tests out OK to the best of my ability. Please see photos of spectrum analyzer. Generate mode, receive mode and tracking generator mode in operation. A photo of an example cable fault test is also shown. The analyzer passes self test and no indication of any problems are present. It has an TCXO master oscillator installed. I am not sure if this is an option or if it is standard equipment. The only known problem with this piece of equipment is that there are a few segments missing in the center of the LCD display. They do not affect the normal operation of the equipment. The missing segments are related to the TONE2 and DUPLEX OFFSET fields on the display. It's easy enough to punch in the desired values ... moreand see what they are. This is one of the best and easiest to use service monitors that IFR ever made. It is a very rugged unit. Made for field work, or just a daily bench unit. The CRT display is showing WWV at 15Mhz Being received on an outside antenna. Notice that the frequency resolution switch is set to 30Hz. And the meter is showing 0 error. This is what some of the buyers of my units said in buyer feedback: Very Clean. Everything works well and is as described. Excellent thank you" The unit works very well.
