Hello and thanks for looking at my latest project and this computer has been entirely dis-mantled(even power supply) and rebuilt. I am an apple tech and like to build these in my spare time and this one made it up to dual"Clovertown" 3.0 Quad-Cores running at 3.0 GHz in all 8 cores. Geekbench marks it at 11547 and there is not one system hack or over-clocking done except for the video card. To make the card run in my Mac without the danger of it frying itself it had to be limited to ANY two video outs used at a time and if you need more than another video card can be installed. 14 GB of RAM out of a possible 32 GB are installed because that was plenty for what I was doing on it. A 120 GB Corsair with over 500 through-put is the boot/ processing drive and there are 2 more for storage. Alright. So I've got a used Alienware M17-R1 here! I recently formatted the hard-drive and re-installed a premium edition of Windows Vista-and the associated OS disk and a driver disk are also included in this sale. I'm a neuroscience major, so my technical computer knowledge is a bit limited, but the system boots up and runs well, scoring a 5.3 in Window's self-diagnostic. With some added RAM, this thing would be a pretty competent computer again, despite being aged 4 years! There is some wear. However, that should be noted. The enter key is missing, and the plastic cover for the CD drive has also broken off. If I can find that I'll throw it in the box. The laptop has noticeable wear on the corners, where the matter finish has begun to peel away. Despite these blemishes, the computer stills looks relatively good as a whole. ... moreAs I said. It has 1 click DVD Burner in it and an older version of Norton Anti- Virus. It has a fresh boot of Windows XP on it. I put 2 512GB of memory in it and it also has an extra hard drive. Just looking to get rid of it. It is a good PC computer, I just don't have a use for it. It comes with some decent speakers and a keyboard with all necessary cables. The latch slider on the front to open the laptop is missing, bu t you can open it with a tool like a small Flathead screwdriver. The actual latch still functions correctly. The battery will still hold a charge. There is no CD/DVD Drive included with this! The mouse pointer rubber nub is also missing. See the keyboard pic. This can happen within a few minutes or a few hours. If the laptop is left on a flat surface like a desk or table. It'll work with no problems. If it's on your lap, it'll turn off quickly.
