Quest Electronics 211A/FS Sound Level Meter For sale- a Quest Electronics 211A/FS Sound Level Meter. Typically referred to as an SPL meter, plus the CA-12 Calibrator. The batteries in the SPL meter were a bit low. One of them so much so that I won’t be shipping it with the meter. I put fresh batteries in the CA-12 and as you can see with the 211A set on 110dB it almost reads 0 which would be the desired result. If I had to guess with a fresh set of batteries in the 211A it would probably be right on the money. But I can’t preclude the possibility that it will need to be re-calibrated prior to being placed in service. So in addition to the 211A and CA-12 plus the padded case you will get 2 fresh 9 volt batteries plus one that measures a bit over 8 volts. So you will need at least one 9 volt battery and the results would no doubt be better ... moreif you had two fresh ones. The meter is untested other than as described and as pictured(the picture with the meter reading about“3” is in the Battery Check position) and NO warranty is offered. However. I acquired this Type one meter from Thompson Audiology in Yakima Washington and it had been very well maintained but Jim has retired now and the new owners of the business told me that they were now using a Type 2 Quest 215 meter without a filter to do background noise studies prior to testing. This is a common misconception only a type one meter should be used to check an area before industrial hearing testing. This unit has a built in Octave Filter and has 200 Volt polarization required for some Microphones. The micro phone pictured is not polarized but is flat out to 19K hz.The calibrator included works but needs to be rewired to common 9 Volt battery. This is an integrating SLM with noise exposure feature with noise versus time exposure. Feel free to ask any questions about this meter.

This is an R.L. Drake crystal calibrator for all amateur bands up to 432 MHz. According to the manual. It actually works from 160 meters throughout this spectrum of course, not just the ham bands. It provides 50 kHz calibration points. It works fine and can be powered from any 14 to 18 volt source. Consumes 40 ma. The EXT SW connector lets you turn it on and off remotely. This was designed primarily to be used with the Drake CC-1 console and the SC-6 and SC-2 converters. But can be used with any receiver. I never had the console it was designed to fit. But it's worked fine for me on a standard power supply. I will pack this in a big enough box with enough packing that hopefully the crystal will survive. Has plenty of gooey sticker schmutz that needs to be cleaned off and has a small piece broken from the thin plastic meter cover but the calibrator works. I do not have the 6V battery required to power it but I hooked it up to a benchtop power supply. It has been tested at 6V.
