DESCRIPTION- This auction is for 3 heavy duty polishing gearmotor systems with speed controllers by Leco and Reliance Electric. Only one gearmotor is shown in the pictures. But this auction is for 3 identical gearmotors. These are used, clean, and in good working order after being removed from a Leco polishing table used for laboratory preparation of microscope cross-sections. All have been recently run to verify smooth, quiet operation. The gear motors are 90VDC, 3/4HP(0.56kW) by Reliance Electric, each also includes the original 120VAC solidstate speed controller and speed indicator meter/control panel as shown. The motors each have a speed encoder on the end of the motor shaft, this is used to provide speed indication on the panel meters. These motors were originally used for a polishing/lapping table system that is typically found in ... morelabs with microscopic polishing and finishing requirements. Each of these has a built-in gear reduction system and is very heavy duty. Each gearmotor weighs about 60lbs and they run VERY quietly and smoothly with an enormous amount of output torque. I removed these from a polishing table and I was planning to use these gearmotors to drive the wheels on some lightweight electric vehicles or robots but I no longer have the time to finish this project. The voltage, HP, and gear ratio/speed is just about perfect for a light duty vehicle or robot. These heavy duty DC motors also enable simplified speed control using various types of DC controllers such as Yaskawa(not included) The condition of these motors is guaranteed working as shown and described. AURORA AFX HAND CONTROLLERS W/SPEED INDICATOR (TWO)
This is a set of two Aurora AFX Hand Controllers with Speed Indicators. These items were sold separately by Aurora and can be used with both the early Aurora slot car sets and newer slot car sets up to the mid 1980's they are both in excellent condition and they look great. I have tested the both of them and they work fine and the speed indicator is functional as well. Please view all pictures and ask questions before bidding.
