Assembled Temperature Controller for Sous Vide Cooking w/ Thermocouple
Temperature controller perfect for sous vide cooking. I made this over the summer and have used it many times to great success. It requires a'dumb' crockpot or other heat source(not included) which basically means it just needs an on/off switch like the one in the picture. Digital ones won't work. You can see some of the components in the pictures. But here are the specifics: JLD612 PID Temperature Controller, 25A Solid State Relay(SSR) Heat sink for SSR, High temperature food grade mini water pump for circulation(29 GPH) PT100 RTD Temperature probe, There are 2 outlets wired into the project box: one for always on(for the water pump) and the other that is controlled with the temperature controller. Once you plug the heat source into that outlet and set your temperature. The SSR will pulse the heat source on and off to stabilize ... moreat the set point. The temperature probe can be unplugged from the project box for easy removal and storage.
