Vintage 50's ? table lamp/lime green/great design. Square base. Take a look.
This is a great vintage lamp. I wish the pole to hold the lightbulb was in better shape. Its missing a lot of the finish of brass. The lamp should be rewired as well. The style is great lime green color done in a square box style. Measures 7" square and is 6 3/4 high on the base. The entire lamp measures up to the finial 25" Finial is not original. The base has a weave like design like a basket. And then has a center design all the way around the lamp. I see no issues in the glass its stunning and without cracks or chips. This is a beautiful tablecloth from a estate sale in Belmont. NC. It is a square 46" X 48" cloth in a very nice folkart or Pennsylvania Dutch design. I don't see any holes or tears but there are just a few light spots on it as seen in the last picture. They may wash or soak out, I have not laundered it, selling it as found. Colors are nice with very minimal fading. Fabric feels like cotton to me although there is not a tag present. 17th Century Horizontal Square Brass & Gilded Table Clock. Antique Vintage.
I don't know very much about this clock but have been told that it will probably date to sometime in the 17th century. A truly fantastic find. The movement with cylinder type escapement is an older one by Japy Frere and will possibly date to circa 1850-70. Obviously it has been fitted at a much later date than the origins of the clock but this is the way in which I found it. As you can see in the pictures the top brass plate and dial look to be original and it just sits firmly in the case held in by its own weight. The balance is OK. Running for a short time and striking will operate but it is very dirty requiring overhaul. The brass and gilded case with no visible makers name. Is very heavy and measures 130mm square and 105mm high approx. I would say that it is in very good undamaged condition and as you can see there are holes in the ... moresides which probably relate to the original movement. This lovely table is either English or American and I tend to believe it is English from its providence and the top also. The family I received this from had so many English and French imported antiques. Wonderful old estate homestead and every piece I bought was nicer than the next. What also makes me think this is English is the top. I believe the top is a sandalwood. But I might be wrong, it could be some other lovely English wood such as elm, etc and just the lighter color is throwing me off.My camera made it look a bit lighter than it is though. Flash always does that. I am not a wood specialist; but I know quality and this one has it. The table is in excellent condition and has one change. A repair or replacement I should say of the square piece of wood that holds the top was replaced and not recently. The old brass hatch or hardware ... morewas still put back on. Other than that. She's all the same. NO cracks, NO splits, NO glues, NO other repairs. I believe it to be the mid 19c. NOW.the beauty.the top. It has a wonderful old brass galley embedded in from the edge. Really nice and of course the wood is exquisite with marvelous grains. If someone knows the type wood. Please do tell. The rest of the table is a darker mahogany, that is a no brainer. It measures 21 3/8" square on top and 29 1/2" high when open. It has the original old iron tripod support on the bottom, see pictures and wonderful small solid brass original casters. This tapestry has a dark blue and red color palette depicting sultans, musicians and servants; the fringe is knotted cotton lengths.
