1936 Silvertone model 1905 Up for auction is this beautiful 1936 Silvertone model 1905. A great example of mid century Art Deco styling it will make a statement whether it’s used as a standalone antique or it’s in a collection. With light walnut tones and darker shading on the fluted columns and bottom trim it is a truly stunning radio. With 8 tubes this radio not only looks superb it is an exceptional player with excellent station selectivity. Tone and volume. It performs better than most of the full sized console radios that I’ve owned over the years. The cabinet has its original finish with original knobs and grill cloth. The front of the radio is one of the best original finish cabinets you will find. The sides and top are also in very good condition; however, they do have some minor scratches and wear but still extremely well preserved. ... morePlease look at the pictures for additional detail on the sides and top. The multi colored dial is absolutely stunning and very bright. The set is both Broadcast(AM) and shortwave and brings in a number of shortwave stations in our area. The chassis is also in original condition and looks exceptional. The speaker is in pristine condition as well. Frankly, everything on the chassis looks to be in superb original condition. Under the chassis, all of the radio’s paper and filter capacitors have been replaced with modern ones. The resistors and tubes have been checked and replaced where needed. All of its moving parts have been cleaned and lubricated. It has a new cloth covered period cord and plug. It measures 18x14½ x11 and weighs approximately 40 plus pounds before packing. It would be difficult to find another Silvertone from this period in any better condition. It plays extremely well with the attached one foot antenna which will be included. It should be noted that radios from this period have improved performance with the use of a long wire antenna. I plugged in the radio and after a short wait the radio came on. There is a loud'hum' and i could faintly hear the local AM radio station. There is some corrosion on the metal sails and some chipping in the finish of the wood body. This is from a local Estate Auction. I am selling it AS FOUND and AS PICTURED. I am not a radio collector. This beautiful. Turn of the 20th century, Tabletop Viewer measures approx. 10" by 11 1/2" at the base and 14 1/2" tall. It is made entirely of close grained Mahogany with stereo eyepieces on opposite sides(four eyepieces in all) that can be focused by drawing them out from the body of the Viewer on mounts that look almost like a drawer. This Tabletop Viewer can hold 50 square corner, flat card mount Stereoviews back to back in 25 mounts on a revolving, internal mechanism that is operated using wooden knobs on the opposing sides of the body of the vVewer(the knobs ... moreare on the sides that do not have eyepieces) The Viewer carries no makers mark or label but is of the type known to collectors as a"Becker Style" Sweetheart Stereoscope. Vintage 1949 Emerson Model 639 Wood Tabletop 7” TV, Recapped, Works
Classic 1949 Emerson model 639 table top 7” TV. The recapped working chassis is complete with all tubes. Looks/works great. See the folks from the early Gunsmoke series in the pics below. Cabinet has original varnish/lacquer/paint finish with a few rubs. Veneer is all there with no visible chips, scrapes, dings, separation, etc. The shallow scratches shown in the pics below are only in the clear finish, not the wood best I can see. The reverse painted faceplate is exceptionally nice as can be seen in the close-ups below. This nice little set is complete with original knobs and often missing back with AC cord I can see the chassis has been gone through in the recent past and it works nicely after warm-up. I tested it for an hour and the picture stayed set after initial adjustments. Although it is working fine now. One never knows for how long ... morebefore it will need service again. Sold as-is, no guarantee of it to stay working. TV measures 10” tall. 14” wide, 17” deep and weighs 25 lbs. It will measure approximately 14” tall, 18” wide, 22” deep and weigh 32 lbs. when packed. Very nice working toy slot machine bank. No key. I used a small flat head screwdriver to open it and as you can tell by the pictures it worked easy enough. just follow the included instructions. Clean inside. I did see some minor rust starting, but battery compartment looks like it was never even used. Everything works well, handle works as it should, this machine is legal because it will work even if a dime is not inserted. Very neat old toy slot that operates just like the old time regular slots. Centered grille clothe with beautiful Deco cut-outs, six push-buttons and four knobs. The case of this wooden beauty is in good condition with light age and use wear, with the top showing a little heavier wear. The plastic dial cover is cracked on both ends. Antique 1933 Zenith cathedral/tombstone/tabletop radio Art Deco original working
Zenith 807 Art Deco Skyscraper(1933) Up for auction is a beautiful Zenith model 807. The cabinet of this classic is what it would have looked like in 1933. A stunning example of Art Deco radio design of the 1930s this beauty will please collectors as well as those who appreciate it for its skyscraper Art Deco design. The grill cloth. Knobs and dial are all original. The cabinet has a few scuffs on both sides, the top has a couple of small veneer chips on the back and the base has a few bruises but for a radio this age it is as good as any I’ve seen in my many years of collecting. The few issues it does have only add character to its 80 years. The dial on this radio is simply stunning, very bright and perfectly backlit. The dials on Zenith radios, particularly this series, started me collecting many years ago. The predecessor to the infamous ... moreblack dial Zeniths, the design and coloring on this early series Zenith is every bit as spectacular as the black dials. The chassis on this Zenith is also original including its power cord which is a bit shorter than usual. I’m sure the cord was shortened a bit by its previous caretakers to keep it intact. The cord looks to be in excellent condition and I chose to leave it as is. The radio has had its paper and filter capacitors replaced, all resistors and tubes have been checked and replaced where needed and all moving parts cleaned and lubricated. It plays beautifully and is very selective on AM and I’m sure with a long antenna would perform equally as well on its Shortwave band. It is also a manageable size. The dimensions are 17 inches tall, 12 inches wide and 8 ½ inches deep. All in all this is a quality set and not often found in such excellent condition. I’ve included a short YouTube clip of it playing so you can see it in action. I should point out that all radios of this vintage perform better with a long wire antenna. I think this is in good condition concidering its age. This radio has eight tubes. This radio has three bands. AM, Short Wave, and Police. There is a built in loop antenna and provisions for an external antenna. The cord needs replaced becuse it is in pretty bad shape, but I plugged it in and it works! The RMA Code#213 confirmed this in a way so that customers did not know who manufactured the radio. The serial number is 164362. Stratovox was another name I came across that has the exact same model number 579-1-58A made by Grossman Music Co. Cleveland. Ohio. Very Rare and wonderful. Ca1860 Rosewood Table Top Mechanical Beckers-Type Stereoviewer/ Stereoscope used to view daguerreotype or glass Stereoviews as well as standard, early card mount Stereoviews. This beautiful. Mid 19th century, Tabletop Viewer measures approx. 11" by 11" at the base and 18" tall. It is made entirely of sumptuous grained Rosewood with stereo eyepieces that can be focused by drawing them out from the body of the Viewer using a rack and pinion mechanism activated by a knob on the right hand side of the Viewer. This Tabletop Viewer can hold 50 Stereoviews on a revolving, internal mechanism that is operated using rosewood knobs on the right and left hand sides of the body of the Viewer The Viewer carries no makers mark or label but is of the type known to collectors as a"Becker Style" Stereoscope. ... moreThe interior of this type of viewer holds a number of Stereoview Photographs in mounts on a belt. When the knob on the side is turned the Photos come into view one at a time. The Viewer offered here includes all 47 of the original. Wire internal Stereoview holders- the belt is intact and three of the holders lack only the wire frames that secure the Views in place. The internal is in working condition and the View holders advance as the knobs are turned. The Viewer offered here is most certainly a“high end” example with a beautiful. Elaborately grained Rosewood surface and elaborately cast, brass carrying handles on each side of the Viewer(see the scans below) This rare and wonderful. Tabletop Mechanical Becker Style Stereoviewer/ Stereoscope/ Stereopticon is in good condition only. The Viewer lacks one of the two, hinged doors that form the top of the case and would be opened to admit light to the interior of the Viewer. The Viewer also lacks 3 of the four small pieces of corner molding at the top edge of the case and has crack in the rosewood eyepieces as well as a vertical crack at the bottom edge of one of the corners of the case. Old EMERSON Electric 14" Table Fan 2 Speed Oscillating Type 94646 Tabletop
Here is a vintage Emerson Electric 2 speed fan that is oscillating. The table fan has not been used in years with lots of vintage dust on the blades and fan cage. I plugged it in and found it had two speeds and moves back and forth. Fan operates quietly- but might need oiling/ maintance for longer use. The tag is on the bottom and has type 94646. The fan cage is 14 inches wide. The blades are around 12 inches wide. This fan weighs 11.9 pounds! I have taken several photos to show the condition. This fan is dusty.
