Up for auction is a folky. Antique, hand hooked rug. It's oval in shape and measures 44 inches wide and 34 inches long. The center colors are different shades of green and the border was done in black and purple. It's decorated with red flowers that are connected with a green vine. The back has an old piece of burlap sewn on the edge. There are a few small snags and wear to the burlap. Needs a good beating to get the dust out. Miss America 12 1/4" pink oval platter 1930s depression glass Very cool piece usable depression glass. The vintage depression glass piece is in great condition. Though there seems to be 2 very small nicks or flee bites on the edges of 2 of the points. I did not notice them for some time as they are so hard to feel and see. I am sure they could be sanded down if needed but I will leave that up to the buyer. The glass is a clear sparkling crystal PINK color. Nice. Clear depression glass divided oval serving platter with open handles in Hocking's Mayfair Open Rose pattern. Measures 12" diameter excluding handles x approx. 9" wide at widest point. Divided into 5 sections, with large section in the middle and two smaller sections on each side. This is a used piece of vintage depression glass and is not like brand new. No cracks. But small, slightly larger than pinprick sized flea bite on the edge of one of the handles, and light but visible scratches/utensil marks in multiple spots consistent with light use and handling. Here we offer 2 oval serving bowls( the larger one normally called a vegetable bowl. The smaller a relish dish) in the Idris pattern, made by( William Harry) Grindley pottery in England sometime between 1914-1925. They have a nice blurring of the transfer into nearby white areas. Both were accented with gold. As an outline in the outermost curved line border, and along the rim, though much is now gone. They are lovely servers that stack nicely for the entry collector of flow blue. Measurements in inches: Smaller: 8.5 x 5.75 x 1.25 Larger: 9 7/8 x.5 x 2 Condition: Original- no chips breaks or repairs. The smaller has a rim hairline. I find no chips or cracks, no crazing that I see. There is some slight roughness on base ring, some chiggers/fleas that may be from the once present display rack that was on this when I got it. I will include the hanger when item ships, but I always remove them to check for damage and do not like to ship when wires are in place. This bear has been fishing and sucessfully it appears, he/she is enjoying a meal. The platter is glossy but not garish, it is white but not stark IMO. Colors of animal/scene very close to actual in photo 6. This is signed by what looks like an A over Drnout'78. Marked in green on the back as shown, Hutschenreuther Tirschenreuth Germany 32. ... moreAlso has the numbers 327 or 32Z impressed into material and under glaze, this is found left of mark. Platter is approx. 12 5/8" X 8 5/8" and may or may not have been used for other than display, it is difficult for me to tell. I see no obvious signs of that but I assume without tags or box, all older items have been. Under magnification may be found faint surface marks from age/use or storage, but it is very much as shown. I made no attempt to clean this, base ring is dry and may need brightening, but it is very clean as it is so I opted to present as found. Not perfect, nothing I list is IMO but this is beautiful. The drawback to this item is weight, it is very heavy for size. Priority shipping using medium flat rate will be $12.35. The jewel is faceted on the front and back with a flat spot on the back and was made in Czechoslovakia. It's light amber and will work well in many styles of stained glass windows. This jewel is 1" tall. 3/4" wide and 5/16" thick. This jewel isn't available from any of the big stained glass supply houses.
