It is 3 7/8” high from the base to the highest point of the bowl and 2 1/2” across the ground base. It has 6‘lugs’ coming out of the sides of the bowl. It is in good condition. With no chips, nicks and a few light scratches. There are also a few air bubble imperfections in the bowl which are common in hand blown glass. These condition issues appear in the pictures, so please look closely at them. This bowl is VERY HEAVY at 5# 15oz. As you can see from the picture, it is dazzling! I am unsure who the maker is on this bowl; I bought it in an Ohio Antique Mall. A very rare Horner Brothers mahogany oval full winged griffion library table or desk Ca. 1890's. In 40 years of buying antiques I have never seen this Horner model before. A little over 59" inches long and 34 1/2 inches wide and 30 1/2 inches in height having four original drawers see photo's of this great carved desk. The desk has highly carved detail even carved tails on the griffions having a solid mahogany top. In very good original condition none of wings have broken or repair.No cracks to the wood or missing carving. Antique Silver Pepper Heart Shape Leaf Scrolls & Flowers Oval Base 1904
This is a good Antique Solid Silver Pepper. I can best describe it as being almost of a heart shape having broad shoulders and then narrowing down almost to a point. It has an embossed pattern of leaf scrolls and flowers on a textured orange peel background which covers all of the body apart from a raised blank cartouche on each side which is surrounded by scrolls. It has an oval lined base and a small rounded pull off lid. It does have hallmarks on the neck which are quite rubbed and I can really only make out the lion passant and the date letter. But the lid has a clear lion passant and date letter mark. The makers marks however are very rubbed Assay Office: BIRMINGHAM Date: 1904/05 Makers Marks: Very rubbed and can only make out the first letter being a"W" Dimensions: Just over 3.25 inches inches tall. 1.75 inches wide at is ... morewidest point, with base just under 1.75 inches long and just over 1.25 inches wide. It weighs 37g Condition: Overall it is in good conditon but there is a little split at the top rim of one of the side seams. But this is minor and really only noticed on very close inspection and the underside of the base rim is a little mis-shapen, but this again is very minor Remarks: This is a good decorative antique solid silver peppe that would finish off any table Antique and vintage silver by its very nature has been previously used. Silver is a comparatively soft metal and a combination of many years use invariably leaves its mark.
