This childs serving piece is approx 3" H and 5 1/2" L(tip to tip) It is marked on the bottom in blue ink"Made In Japan" Both pieces are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. They have been stored in an enclosed cabinet. And if used at all, were washed by hand. These pieces would have been used 1x a year for about 10-12 years(I have a Royal Worcester Holly Ribbons set that I use at Christmas, and daughter-in-law has taken over holiday dinners) Some of the accessory pieces were for display/never used. They were also stored with foam or paper in between each one so they weren't scratched from stacking. I noticed the platter still has the sticker on the bottom, so it was used less than this. The store manager wrote"the faults vary. But mainly are print faults, but if we ship on your behalf we select very keenly. I was never able to determine the fault in any of my Stafford Flowers or Sheffield pieces, and only remembered they were seconds by the small ink mark or scratch on the bottom to indicate they had been removed from the full price store. Early French Yelloware Pottery Oval Baking Dish Flower Decoration ~ Antique
EARLY FRENCH YELLOWARE POTTERY OVAL BAKING DISH This is a heavy yelloware pottery oval dish used for baking. It has a caramel colored glaze finish with slip decoration in soft yellow. Green and terra cotta colors. The decoration is flowers in a sunflower like pattern and there is a nice patterned border on the inside and outside edges. This piece was obviously used as you can see the darkness on the unglazed bottom from cooking. But it is still in good condition with one very old chips on the rim. The oval dish measures 15" X 10" X 2-1/2" deep. A beautiful piece to add to your pottery collection or to add a decorative touch to your room. I have a question mark after Gentile because the hallmark impressed on the bottom of this art glass paperweight looks somewhat similar to the'G' within a shield with an eagle behind it(please see photos) But the mark here doesn't look exactly like the few Gentile shield hallmarks I've found online. So I don't know if this is simply a Gentile with his hallmark modified for a certain time period or if it's a different studio/artist altogether. Regardless. This is a beautiful paperweight with perfect swirls of yellow and pink that mesh together in the center to make it look like a little tornado. Small bubbles also spiral around. New Martinsville "Janice" Silver Overlay Oval Bowl Vintage Celery Dish
This is a elegant oval bowl made by New Martinsville with silver leaf overlay. The pattern is called Janice and the color is called crystal. It measures 10 1/2" long and 5 5/8" wide. It has a charming scalloped edge trimmed in silver overlay and a silver overlay leaf design inside the bowl. It could be considered a celery dish because of its shape but I am not sure. It is in very good condition considering its age(ca. 1926-1944) There are no chips or cracks and the wear is minimal and still shines. The silver overlay needs a little silver polish but I will leave that up to the buyer. I found 2 minor small scratches on the underside that I did not see until I used the macro setting on my camera. Here we have a beautiful New Martinsville JANICE Crystal Swan handled oval console bowl in excellent condition. This lovely double Swan bowl measures 12.5" long from handle to handle. 8" wide, 5.75" high and is free of chips, cracks, cloudiness or stains. There are a few light scratches inside the bowl and a couple of small to tiny embedded bubbles but hardly any signs of wear. Very nice! Price is $74.99 for the Crystal 2 Swan handled bowl shown.
