Dore Bronze Music box Swiss Hand painted Enamel oval in cover
This beautiful box is a music box as well as a jewelry box. The cover has an inlaid hand painted enamel bucolic scene…with sheep, a courting couple, a lady in waiting. Waterfalls, ruins, flowers…and so many more details. The enamel measures 4 ¼ x 3 inches and has tiny slight scratches that are natural for its age…there may be a signature somewhere. The box measures 6 3/8” x 2” x 5 ¼” and stands on 4 round granulated metal feet. The inside is lined in burgundy velvet which may not be original. Under the velvet on the right side is a little music box that is clearly marked Swiss. It has no broken teeth. The cylinder measures 2 ½ inches. The flywheel spins…it played a tiny bit and sounded lovely, but it needs some restoration. This is a Stunning Solid Silver Lidded Biscuit Box. This is a substantial piece of solid silver and is of a very good weight. I can best describe it as being oval with shaped canted corners giving it a wavy rim at the two narrow ends of the lid. The body follows the lid shape at the top with inverted panels on the rounded corner ends. The top rim has a pretty embossed border of flowers with the rest of the box being plain. It has a protroding part to the back of the lid which covers the substantial hinge and to the front is a protruding shaped thumbpiece for ease of opening. It is made from a good guage of silver and the body has a full set of clear hallmarks. With the lid being stamped with the lion passant and the makers marks. VINTAGE Solid Silver MUSTARD POT Hallmarked 1918 Sterling OVAL LARGE NR SUPERB- Birmingham- Blue Glass Liner- 1 1/2 troy oz. This is a super VINTAGE solid sterling silver mustard pot with a hinged lid and a Bristol blue glass liner that was made in Birmingham. England in 1923 by the illustrious silversmiths, Docker& Burn at their Barr Street workshops. It is oval in shape. Has pierced sides in a Greek Key pattern, a shell thumb piece and a loop handle. It measures almost 2 1/8" high by over 1 3/8" wide and is 3 1/2" long including the handle. It is NOT engraved with a crest or initials. It has a silver plated mustard ladle which is 2 1/2" long. The quality of this mustard pot shows in the weight- 45.0 grams(without the liner& spoon) which is almost 1 1/2 troy oz. It is in very good condition with less than the ... moreusual surface scratching with NO distortion. NO dents and very little play to the hinge! just a few dings and a little distortion- SUPERB. The liner is clearly original and well fitting with NO chips or repairs. The pot is hallmarked D&B, anchor, lion passant(sterling silver assay mark) y showing that it was hallmarked in Birmingham in 1923. Description this is an extremely nice quality silver plated oval bonbon dish with a twisted ribbed fixed handle and elaborate embossed decoration. This oval. Ceramic celery dish was made by Shenango China for the Albert Pick Barth Company of Chicago and New York for the United States Lines. The dish has two concentric lines in dark blue around the edge. On the upper edge of the dish is the circular logo of the United States Lines that was used in the 1920s and 1930s. The piece is in good used condition and although it was used on board. It does not show any damage. There are no chips, cracks or restorations and the decoration and logo are crisp and clear. Very nice old Piece This little piece looks like a small rug. It may have been made for a doll house. It also could have been made as a doily or small mat. I had a small dog figure setting on it and it looked like like a home setting. It is 8 inches long and 5-1/2 inches wide in an oval shape. You can see on the second photo showing the back that the stitching is very fine. It is done in shades of brown with soem pink and green in it. A few of the loop stitches around the edge are broken. In very good condition. There is some loss of gold trim, particularly on the bottom. A few small spots of discoloration around the rim- see photos. For your consideration is a beautiful Copeland serving platter. Manufactured in 1889. This is a TRUE ANTIQUE. This treasure is flow grey earthenware.flow grey is a style of printing on white earthenware that originated in the Regency era. Sometime in the 1820s, among the Staffordshire potters of England. The name is derived from the grey glaze that blurred or"flowed" during the firing process. The platter measures 19 7/8" long and 15 1/4" wide with a depth of a little over 1" In AMAZING condition considering it is 124 years old. It is free of cracks, crazing, repairs or any discoloration. There is a very minor chip underneath the rim(actually looks like it could be a flaw in the manufacturing)please see photo. There are also 2 tiny"flea bites on one edge about 3 1/2" apart. These are not chips. Only areas ... moreof roughness. Very, very minor knife marks in center. This beauty is in the same condition as when I purchased it myself 15 years ago. Vintage VOIT black rubber oval scuba mask w/purge tempered glass 88-457 Seahunt
An old vintage VOIT oval black rubber scuba mask from the 1960's. It reminds me of Lloyd Bridges on the old TV series"Seahunt" The glass says"Tempered 88-457" and the purge is built in to the glass. The purge has a patent number on it of 3059637 which was issued in 1962 for a"Non return valve for swim mask" I have not dove with it but it seals to my face and the purge allows air to go out but not come in. The rubber is in exceptionally good shape for as old as it is. Even the strap shows no weather checking and stretches very well. There is a little green oxidation on the stainless steel strap rings. A Losolware Keeling& Co Oval Covered Vegetable Dish. Measures about 12" from handle to handle and 7 1/2" in width. CONDITION: Damaged. The bowl portion is in very bad shape-I'm listing this primarily for the lid. There are three large cracks running through the bowl. You can feel the sharp edges of the crack. As they haven't been glued or repaired. It wouldn't take much to shatter the bowl portion. There is also wear to the gold rim and handles. The lid is in great shape with no chips or damage, just some wear to the gold paint on the edges and handle.
