DATE: 1950'S This kit originally contained"OVER 40 COMPLETE PIECES- FOR 8 KIDDIES. Though it is mostly complete. There are some items missing. There were originally eight napkins, but there are only five remaining. Also, there are five out of eight candy baskets/place cards still in the box. The kit contains two"Pin the the Tail on Pluto" games. One is uncut and unused while the other has been used with one of the eight tails clipped from the sheet. All eight mats are present, though some of them show some signs of use. The kit originally included 8 invitations, but none of these are remaining. Also in the box are two identical instruction sheets for assembling the party kit and pieces ... moreof string to use in assembling the hats. The duplicate Pluto games and instruction sheets suggest that the contents of this box may be the remnants of two separate kits that were combined, but I do not know for sure. This item is generally in Good Plus or better condition. The box has medium general wear including a tear near the center of the bottom side panel of the box lid. And there is another side tear on one of the shorter panels on the bottom section of the box. Edge and corner wear is also present on the box lid, but there are no splits present. Some of the pieces in the box have been used while some have not been used, as shown in my pictures. Please check my pictures to get a better idea of the condition of this item. Included are 8 place mats(17 x 10 1/2) and 8 napkins(16 x 16) Placemats are a crisp white organdy with hand appliqued flowers and hand embroidery. Borders are scalloped and trimmed with embroidery. One has a 1/2 hole at the very bottom and 4 have a very few very faint tiny dots on them. The napkins are linen with a figural corner featuring a hand appliqued spray of flowers-also feature expertly done hand embroidery. 4 have faint small spots and 2 have a bit more spotting on them. 12 antique pure damask linen napkins and tablecloth, blue DB monograms
Antique pure linen damask table cloth and 12 matching napkins. There are two thick blue woven stripes down each end of both napkins and table cloth. Napkins measure about 32" x 25½" The blue cross stitch DB monogram measures about 3" x 2" I found one tiny repair on one napkin. Unfortunately the table cloth isn't in as good a condition as the 12 napkins. It measures about 60" wide and 110" long with strands of linen as a fringe. Some of the fringe has disappeared on one end. There are some small repairs. Some small holes and one large repair, Most of the repairs are difficult to spot unless ironing. They are disguised by the shimmery damask weave. 1930
