Rare Pyrex white casserole black star without lid
Extremely rare Pyrex black star casserole dish. Dish is in very good condition. The black color is vivid with only a few minor specks of missing color. Casserole measures 3 1/4" inches in height and has a rim diameter of 6 1/4" inches. Dish does have a minor chip on one of the handles(see photo) The chipped area is small and smooth to the touch except for an area on the top of the chip. No more than a 1/32" inch is ruff. I feel strongly the chip is a manufacturing flaw rather than an actual chip. However, that is simply my opinion. My listing price reflects the minor flaw. No lid is included in this listing. Merle F. Faber Quadruple Silverplate Creamer and Sugar Bowl with Lid DESCRIPTION: I've had this Art Deco creamer and sugar bowl sitting in a box in my basement for at least fifteen years. I didn't pay a lot of attention to it originally since I'd never heard of Merle F. Faber. This past week. When I saw the listings online and noted that the identical set is in the collection of the Brooklyn Museum, I was very pleasantly surprised. Once polished. I began to understand why Faber's work is so collectible. The plastic handles give it an Art Deco feel- but the overall design has a simple elegance and the workmanship is outstanding. The creamer is gilded on the interior. It is 1-7/8 inches high and. From the outside edge of the handle to the end of spout, not quite 3-1/4 inches wide. The sugar bowl(including the lid) is 2-1/2 inches ... morehigh and 2-1/8 inches in diameter. The"Merle F. Faber Products" hallmark is stamped on the underside of both pieces along with a"Quadruple Plate" mark- but on the creamer, the latter is extremely faint and barely legible. FYI: When I tried to date this set. I found a lot of contradictory information about Faber's factory. Some sources, including Artnet, dated his work from 1930-1939. Others, including the Brooklyn Museum, said 1943-1950. I'm going with the latter based on I uncovered in Polk's 1944 San Francisco City Directory. CONDITION: When viewed on your mantle. Dining table or in a museum case, the creamer and sugar will look fabulous with their silvery sheen and no obvious flaws. On close inspection, you will, however, note that the interior of the sugar bowl is heavily worn or stained. I'm not sure which but I doubt this will simply polish out. In addition. As partly shown in my last two photos, the plating on the creamer has several dozen minuscule dots which I assume are due to corrosion. These are concentrated mostly around the handle and are clearly visible only in bright light- but they're definitely there and should be fa

Up for bid is a vintage creamer and sugar bowl. They have no marks on them. I found others on ebay. That indicate these were made by Taylor Smith& Taylor Reveille. Beautiful golden yellow with tiny speckles. The sugar bowl has a small maker's flaw, see photo 3, not chipped but flaw in pottery. Not a big deal but like to describe as accurately as I can. The sugar bowl measures 4 inches diameter and 2 3/8 inches tall, no including the wood lid. The wood lid on these is usually pretty beat up. This one is in very nice condition and color. The creamer measures almost 4 inches at 3 15/16 inches tall. Both pieces together weigh over 1 lb. so shipping for 2 lbs. Cost to the west coast. Chinese covered dish w/ lid unknown time period or place of manufacture ceramics
Oriental pattern covered dish. No makers marks, no country of manufacure or any other identifying marks that I can find. Triedx reseaching it and could not come close to what it is or who and when it was made. There is a tiny steam vent hole in the lid. You can feel the pattern was cut into the wet ceramic material before it was fired. It is 6 7/8 inches across the bottom, 8 1/32 inches across the top and 4 3/8 inches tall with out the lid. If you buy it you can give instructions for how to ship it.

Up for auction is One Beswick Ware Pottery Company Staffordshire England Hand Painted Cottage Ware Butter or Cheese Tray with Lid. The Tray measures 7 1/8" by 6 1/4" and it is 5 1/2" tall overall. There is some crazing on the inside of the Lid and a minor amount on the outside of the Lid. There is a very minor flea bite on the underside of one corner of the Tray. Also there is a small chip on bottom edge of the lid. None of this detracts from the appearance of the item.

Straight from an estate sale is this Red Wing terra cotta bean pot with handle. Spout and lid. The pot measures 14" from spout to handle. It is 8.5" across the top and 3.5" deep. The lid and inside of the bean pot has a glazed finish. The outside has the flat terra cotta finish. The bottom of the pot is marked Red Wing USA/25.
